Peaches, Strawberries, and Sheep

Posted 10-09-2007 at 02:19 PM by Seacowboys

I watch people. There is something about just being a silent observer that opens areas of understanding beyond the scope of dictionaries. At dinner last night, I watched a future soccer mom with three kids that were maybe a year apart in age. I say "future" soccer mom because the oldest must have been only around five. Mom looked much older than she should have; she was less than thirty, I am reasonably sure. They were sharing smoothies and a pile of greasy french-fries while hubby, no doubt was...

The History of Man

Posted 10-11-2007 at 07:21 PM by Seacowboys

Boys focus on the immediate needs, the things they want; a fast car or boat, a pretty girl, cold beers. Life is an adventure. Men are dedicated to what they need; warmth, shelter, companionship. Boys are cruel in...

To me all of that IS PART OF SURVIVAL, and these last years we've been doin' it all on own own with great success.

Not Really Too Bad

Posted 12-29-2007 at 02:49 PM by Seacowboys

I want to point out one or two things to those of us that get a bit bent over the currant world events. Guys, this ain’t the end game and in spite of some things that we don’t especially agree with, its still a pretty damned good time to be here and there are certainly worse places to be.
I grew up with détente and the threat of nuclear war hanging over our heads. I watched the funeral of one of our presidents that got assassinated in Dallas because he didn’t play along. My childhood was...

Posted 01-25-2008 at 02:46 PM by weapons_762

the first week the furnance went out, where's the landlord to fix this problem, opps guess thats me, then we had a busted water pipe, and it seems that it was busted before we moved in, so got that fixed, and all the water facetts? have been replaced due to leaking, but the seller paid for all them, i just had to put them in.
the bad thing, water pipes had been soldered to the piping, so new water lines...lol....
