know what's even worse, they will be able to tell what type of devices you use based on their Fourier transform of the power consumption and duty cycles. simple digital signal processor and add that data to the stream going back to HQ. Now industry can spy on us for the gooberment. And No you are not crazy, but the radio signals blasting through your skull from the meters might just make you a 'little crazy' I'm putting on my tinfoil hat to protect me from 'THEM' I think CommieFornia is one of the testbeds.
This is for Brokor. Following are links to an mp3 download of an interview between Dr Gavin Smith and Margaret Throsby concerning the nexus between personal privacy and surveillance by governments, public and private corpororations; and private individuals. It makes for interesting listening
Well...my wife mentioned to me about a month ago that the power company had changed our meter...did not think much about it...just went out and checked it and it is a 3 watt FCC approved transmitting meter...wish me luck tomorrow...it will be my own mini version of SHTF with the power company...
Seems a very good reason to get that Solar Panel kit and deep cycle batteries. Switch the house to LED lighting, and run the 'puter on the batteries. Switch to a Propane-fueled Heat-on-Demand water heater/shower unit. Use more battery and 12VDC fans, reduce AC use. I could easily cut my power use by two thirds or more with some upfront investment! Checked my "Smart Meter" - looks to be a 3Watt unit! Hey, we're cookin'!
It shouldn't be too hard to mask most activities if you really wanted to. Run your PCs off a real UPS, set a few things on timers, keep a few others on solar... There are some legitimate uses for this technology. I don't think they justify the cost and potential privacy issues that come along with them, but federal law protects our right to install solar and cut ourselves off from public utilities if we want.
Loving my little log cabin... Thanks beast...if worse comes to worse,I'll just have the power cut off and live on my genies until I can get the proper set up...With the high utility rates we have...going to gas power would not cost much more than what I already spend for electricity...I heat with wood and have an old wood cook stove for emergencies if I need it...
Well, there is the ball mill for BP the tumbler for the brass hot pot for the lead the mig welder for making frames to hold the armor and fabbing the I-beam brush guards the private well pump Oh yeah, and they will know when i am home or not and sleeping or not. I checked my meters. Installed 12-1973 w00t! I'm keeping 'em.
Sorry as a past EWO my thoughts are if you don't like it Jam it... a mean yuo can do local transmission below 3 watts with out a liscense... just find the right freq and send themsome nice soothing Montivoni, or Sinatra... i'm sure that some of our hams can provide a few more insights into this... YMMV
After listening to a bunch of B.S. from my power provider, I now have an appointment next week with the PTB...I will update as I plod along with these chumps...
Bro just wrap it in foil... and tell them that the GunKid recommended it as it is the next best thing to a tacticool wheelbarrow...and everyone on the web knows that Gunkid knows everything with out researching it so obviously they need to rethink things...
