I stock a variety of antibiotics from these folks:

The fish medication at the bottom of the page is re-packaged generic human medication.

You can even check the imprint on the pills to verify and determine manufacturer. I use rxlist.com

Pill Identifier, Drug Pictures, and Drug Identification Tool on RxList

I've used these for years to cure myself and family members of nagging infections and saved the cost of many a doctor and pharmacy visit.

The only type that I stay away from is Tetracycline which may become toxic if it is too old. Although the packages have expiration dates, they are re-packaged, and the manufacturers make specific statements to avoid liability. For this reason, I err on the side of caution when it comes to tetracycline.

For tetracycline, you can buy Terramycin powder and fill your own capsules.

I used to work in the medical field and found this article very helpful. I stocked up on samples of meds before I left - but most are expired now. Need to get back!

I'll tell you what we do home...If kids get sick, first I check what is coming out their noses. If it's clear like water, I give them lots of lemons, honey and hot tea. If it's greenish-yellowish or clouded, I give them the same and no antibiotics until they get high fever. If they get high fever (over 38.5 C), I might give them some antibiotics like cephalosporine until fever drops. When it drops, I stop all drugs and keep high vitamin C and honey. If they get no temperature, then no antibiotics. So far, they have been perfectly healthy, and I avoid all BS drugs and chemicals...

This is really an excellent and very informative article about a practical guide to antibiotics and their usage.

My tutu or grandma used to give me apple shaving to quell my stomach aches with some pickle juice and honey for fevers and colds. Try getting a glass jar filled lemons and sprinkled with generous amounts of sea salt and put it out in the sun for a couple of months. The lemons will start to break down. Add more salt and lemons and repeat till the jar is packed. When all the lemons have turned brown you'll have something for colds as well as a nice salty snack. The juice is packed with vitamin c. The juice I use for sore throats and lemonade shooters on New Years. The Chinese bought this technique to Hawaii to open a niche candy industry called cracked seed which is still around today. As a kid I loved the pickled peach and candied ginger.
