    I can see why

I can see why you are ot a fan of the website - it is written like the guy is off his meds. Seriously off his meds.
The only things missing was the UFO part.

    As for the question posed.

    Yes, they will.

The history of the uS has shown this to be a fact, so why wonder?

    There is this -http://www.eyewitnesstohistory.com/snprelief4.htm
A month later, on July 28, Attorney General Mitchell ordered the evacuation of the veterans from all government property, Entrusted with the job, the Washington police met with resistance, shots were fired and two marchers killed. Learning of the shooting at lunch, President Hoover ordered the army to clear out the veterans. Infantry
    <table align="left" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"> <tbody><tr> <td> snprelief4b. </td> </tr> <tr> <td align="center">Troops prepare to evacuate the
    Bonus Army
July 28, 1932</td> </tr> </tbody></table>and cavalry supported by six tanks were dispatched with Chief of Staff General Douglas MacArthur in command. Major Dwight D. Eisenhower served as his liaison with Washington police and Major George Patton led the cavalry. By 4:45 P.M. the troops were massed on Pennsylvania Ave. below the Capitol. Thousands of Civil Service employees spilled out of work and lined the streets to watch. The veterans, assuming the military display was in their honor, cheered. Suddenly Patton's troopers turned and charged. "Shame, Shame" the spectators cried. Soldiers with fixed bayonets followed, hurling tear gas into the crowd.

You might want to relook at your 'heros' of WWII. Deep in the throes of the Depression, it was a bad time all around. Wobblies had been causing problems around the same time.

But if you think you can mass, and then ignore an order to leave - don't be shocked at the results.

The likelihood of a occurrence is low, but history can be instructive, it can also be deadly if the lessons learned are missed.

Fortunately the old Aristocratic Army officer corps of old is long gone. The worry of a senior military officer anxious to curry favor with politicians still remains.

You might want to look up the history of the WHY the posse comitatus Act was passed in the first place. You may be surprised, as that bit of history rarely makes it into the schoolbooks.

According to the situation but basically YES. They will follow orders. Some may fire to miss but would not count on it.

We had it bad here in the US. They had it far worse in Europe owing to the damage from WWI. We saw how that turned out.

When times are hard, and the local Government (anywhere) has failed or has lost its way, you are looking for the same conditions to appear again.

Banditry (remember John Dillenger etal)(gangs today)

Mass migration of population (Oakies)(immigration today)

Corruption in local and state governments. As some seek power, the levers of Government are a tempting target - see
    1946 battle of Athens, Tennessee

Currency manipulation (all of them now)

Tax oppression - and mass cheating. (Greeks pay taxes?)

So, a study of history can be instructive to a person preparing. History may not repeat itself, but the echos of past problems are still seen today.

And what if those around you are shooting at us...on which side do you join in?

Are you going to be with them when they come to take guns and preps? To put down resistance to unconstitutional acts by the fedgov?

To see what extent US servicemen will do to their fellow countrymen, we need to look no farther than the Civil War itself. Their are plenty of documented cases where Union troops fired on and killed civilian non-combatants. Southern Heritage 411

There is another side to this coin---would we fire on our own soldiers? I could not and would not unless there was no way out.

Better to be sick with green flu or awol.

Sad to say, but no one downrange of your weapon would know you were shooting high or otherwise to miss. If your comrades drew blood and were still firing, and you were among them, you would be a fair target. We have done business and talked, I have no idea what you look like, It makes no difference. If you take up arms and those you are among fire on US Citizens, you could be one of my 3 brothers and I would do my best to kill you.

That leaves the question of, would you allow them to take your weapons, and stocks of food (just for the good of the masses and the children of course)? I know the Constitution, I took the oath of enlistment numerous times, I still believe in it today, I would fire on armed combatants trying to deprive me of my basic rights, no matter what costume they covered their bodies with. just saying

Have no doubt, the whole situation make me very very sad.

That is assuming members of our military will actually confiscate people's guns and food. I think they would have trouble with a lot of guard people if they gave that order. I don't think many of them would want to participate in it.

If they are executing orders that are unconstitutional and/or will immediately jeopardize the lives of my family, fellow citizens, or myself I will not hesitate to fire first. At that point they are no longer our soldiers.

Of course it will always be best to avoid engagements of any sort but circumstances may require one be willing to take actions we don't particularly want to take. We can't all remain completely hidden forever and we don't know what situations may arise. Hope for the best and prepare for the worst... to include preparing mentally to do what needs done.

This -06 is the point that no one ever wants to talk about.

More want to draw a line between "us" and "them" rather than unify.

That's why I get so disgusted at some of the conversation here.

    JMHO

As for an answer to the OP, no I do not think that our soldiers would ever shoot at civilians on an order. I do think that our soldiers would shoot back having received fire- just as you or I would in life-death situation. I do think that there are lunies that mix into crowds to start such unrest and could create such a situation. There are countless crazies that advocate the shooting of police right now. They would love to antagonize by shooting a cop/soldier to start a downward spiral.... some people do just want to see the world burn. There is a lot we could talk about in terms of ideology that is out there and the distrust that is fostered by those that "wish for" and "anxiously anticipate" such events. Fantasy complexes play a significant role.

I concur with Al on this one... We know for a FACT, that there are MANY Agent Provocateurs, out among those who like to Carry Signs, and March in every Cause Parade, that comes down the pike.... These kind of folks were the cause of all the unrest during the WTO Riots in Seattle, a few years back... None of them were local. They came up from Oregon. These same faces show up at every Occupy Gathering, and infiltrate the Leadership of any Cause Parade that has a grievance. Some are well know, and some are spook-like. This the very reason I would NEVER be associated with a Public Cause Parade. I don't want to be caught up in their BS. I have better things to do with my time, even if I lived where these kind of things happen. Way to easy, for these kind of folks, to start something, and then just fade away, and leave the Idiots to get thumped, by an Angry Reactionary type force. No Thanks, and I certainly do NOT want ANYONE ELSE, Speaking on my Behalf, with a BullHorn. If I have something to SAY, I will say it MYSELF. Standing on MY OWN SOAPBox, PERIOD. ..... YMMV....

I am not trying to start a fight here, but I would be amiss if I didn't point out that it is a proven fact that you have lunies among your fellow soldiers as well. In the recent past there have been instances of Officer, NCO, and junior enlisted wackos going postal on civilians and their own troops. Shall I list a few of them, or will you agree on that point?

I will agree to whacko troops. They exist. Some go off the reservation, combat stress and all that.

There are crazies in all walks of life. That goes without saying. The crazies that I am referring to in this context is the crazies that wish to instigate such a clash. I have not seen or heard a whim of it on the military side. Where I do hear it frequently is in forums such as here by non-mil types, generally, but not exclusively. To me its shocking. I don't sit around contemplating shooting civilians while in a green suit, but apparently civilians sit around and think about shooting me.

You also need to think about what will Big Brother do to make sure orders are followed. What if the soldiers families were offered safe haven in the camps with extras and little perks. In a time like that what would we do to keep our family safe. Im not saying they would like it but alot of times in life we have to do things we don't want and are not proud of to fend for our families. Then when something happen to one of your brothers you serve with. At that point the soldiers will do as they are trained. We become the hostile target that has to be secured. This is something I hope to never see and as a L.E.O. I know how quick one can jump to bad judgement call, when you see your partner hurt by people you protect and I think soldiers would have the same bond. Along with the fact that for the most part our soldiers are kids who have been trained not to question just do. I think thats when it will come down to the old Grunts who see the world and Big Brother for what it is, to make the choice. Because his troops will follow him before anyone else.
