    First off, let me say that I pray daily for this country, and occasionally even weep for her.

    I believe in the Greatness of America, and whole heartedly in the Constitution.

    I believe in the Pledge of Allegence in it's entirety. I believe the line about "one nation under god", is about religious freedom without fear or persecution, or discrimination, and absolutely without government interference. The problem or paradox with all that is when one religion is intolerant of other religions and wants to make an issue of it.

    Somehow I have got off issue here, so I will move on.

    Sheriff Richard Mack is an "oath-keeper".
    The Oath-Keepers are an organization that all freedom loving Americans who believe in the Constitution should look into, and know a little more about. They may well be this countries salvation some day. below is a link to a video on Richard Mack Please check it out.

    Bottom Line, Sheriff Richard Mack, is one of us. He believes in America, and has some excellent ideas on how we all can contribute as individuals on a local level to try and take our country back.

    He has a book that we should encourage our local libraries to buy. That we should own, and share with friends, and maybe purchase a copy for your local sheriff.

    In April of 2009, one lady in Minnesota purchased and sent 87 copies of Sheriff Richard Mack's book, "The County Sheriff: Americas Last Hope", one to each of the county sheriff's in Minnesota. In June, Ohio, Montana, Idaho, and Arizona had been completed by the people of those states as well. In July, Oregon was complete.

    I bought 3 copies myself today, one for me, one for my county sheriff, and one for my local library. My total cost was $24. I plan on spreading the word among all my family and friends, asking them to consider doing the same. below is a link to a site where the book may be purchased, and more information about Richard Mack.

    So you don't believe in the Declaration of Independence, but DO choose to believe an oath written to an inanimate object by a socialist preacher ?

    "One nation, under God, ( added later by CONgress..because passing 'feel good stuff' is one of their specialties ) indivisible....."

    STOP right there.....you know WHY the word "INDIVISIBLE" was put in there ?

    To STICK IT UP THE BUTTS OF SOUTHERNERS that were so "cheeky" as to believe the Declaration of Independence actually MEANT what it said:

    That all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness; that, to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed; that whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles, and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness.

    (Apparently, those unalienable rights only apply IF you win the war your former govt is going to wage on you for attempting to depart )

    So, you go right on believing the Pledge is something sacred instead of what it REALLY is.....a pledge of conformity and surrender of rights.....because THAT is what it really is....neatly wrapped up in Mom, the flag and apple pie.

    Personally, I used to routinely mouth the words in ignorance....but no more.

    And now that you know, you have to choose....The Pledge, or The Declaration of Independence......you don't get both.

    What I choose is my own business, as I am an individual. Seems to me you are merely nit pickin'. I also tend to believe in liberty and justice for all. The golden rule, the Ten Commandments, and much more. I'm sorry that you choose to fixate on basically one word. Your loss .... not mine.

    This whole thread was about something else anyway. Ease up a little. Reread it. It is about a book, a man, and trying to take our country back. That's bigger than you or I, and any micturating altercation we may have over North and South and or semantics.

    So how do you feel about the role of the County Sheriff in local politics? Did you bother to watch the video?
