Want to throw up just alittle into your mouth??
Islamic groups are protesting the TSA'S procedures as "profiling " weeks after the bvd bomber failed to ignite his wally under a blanket on an airliner.[woot]

The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), also known as the Hamas front group and has terrorist connections, claims that the latest Transportation Security Administration (TSA) measures amount to religious profiling. This is a the latest attempt by CAIR to hinder anti-terrorism efforts that America puts into place by crying racism. A senior governmental official spoke on condition of anonymity and listed 14 countries where travelers will be subject to enhanced screening if traveling to or from and are primarily Muslim nations. The enhanced screening procedures are applied to "state sponsors of terrorism or other countries of interest" and include: Cuba, Sudan, Syria, Iran, Afghanistan, Algeria, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Somalia and Yemen. CAIR adds that the tougher measures "amount to religious and ethnic profiling." This is also coming from an organization that wants Sharia Law in the United States.
"Under these new guidelines, almost every American Muslim who travels to see family or friends or goes on pilgrimage to Mecca will automatically be singled out for special security checks -- that's profiling. While singling out travelers based on religion and national origin may make some people feel safer, it only serves to alienate and stigmatize Muslims and does nothing to improve airline security." Nihad Awad, CAIR's executive director.

Only the most divorced from reality;twisted, armchair lawyer thinking could rationalize this.

I can't call my self a "constitutionalist" and not be concerned about search of citizens what ever their lineage.

I see no problem with "Profiling"......
Janet Napolitano did the same for every member of the military!
    (Active or retired!)
    I feel special!

I do consider myself a Constitutionalist.
    however.
    I don't think our founding fathers ever envisioned some of the following;
    .
Weapons of mass destruction small enough to be carried by one man.
Space flight, guided missles, jet aircraft, computers, the WWW, global jihad.

Does anyone besides me remember signs along the lines of "no shoes, no socks, no shirt, no service" and sometimes a follow up sign "no wet swimsuits ever"? or, "we reserve the right to serve or not serve anyone"?
    .
CCW is pretty much the rule of law for the country, but still some malls, specific stores, and other areas while not specified by state law as being forbiden from legal for CCW are still allowed to post a sign denying me my 2nd amendment rights on their property.
    .
I guess what I am trying to say and where I am going with this is. Individual businesses whether a mom and pop store or wally world have the right to demand certain rules and decorum from there customers.
    .
The airlines themselves without Government assistance could choose to search everyone who wants to board their planes. Or, not allow them to fly. discrimination is the issue here I know. But as long as global jihad and hate is rampant, I fully support the airlines or the government to search as neccessary to protect me from being blown out of the unfriendly skies while traveling. JMHO of course.

You make a solid point. I feel the same about business's being run by people (not the business being run by.gov). Put that way I would have to agree.

If teenager's are continually ripping off my convenience store I should be allowed to limit the # of them in at one time.
    Guess that's "profiling" too.

Don'tcomplain I live in one of the only (two?) states that don't allow ccw and even open carry (technically legal)can get you a "disturbing the peace charge".

I agree. Once again AMERICANS have to lose freedoms because the intelligence and police communities fail in their job. If you are not an American citizen then I personally could care less.

maybe we should just get rid of all muslims from our country, then there wouldn't be any profiling
