If ever anyone wondered why some of us use the phrase "tax and spend Democrats," this past year should make it "intuitively obvious to even the most casual observer."

A massive, incomprehensible health care "reform" bill is being rejected by many voters. It's a budget buster which would tax anyone with a job, even it it just "fined' (read taxed) them for not having insurance[IMG]. Cap and Trade would, in Obama's own words, cause our "utility bills to skyrocket." Read that as a tax on everyone, too. Read that as a tax on businesses who would then pass the cost to us in increased prices, or move offshore taking jobs with them.

Many die-hard Dem voters in Mass. are going to vote for a Republican today. Win or lose, the lesson is on the table. The hallowed seat of the Kennedy's is in real jeopardy of falling today.

This past year our deficits have soared from failed stimulus and other spending. We are fiscally out of control. US Dollars are being printed like crazy and our dollar has lost a lot of its value this year because of it. We are and will continue to see prices[IMG] rise as a result of it.

I hope there is a revolution brewing right at the site of the original Boston Tea Party. What a great coincidence. I hope the revolution can be at the ballot box and not in the streets after a total collapse of our economy.

The economy is not going to improve in 2010 despite the promises of our current leaders. It can't in this anti-business (tax and regulate) environment. We haven't learned to love our businesses for the profits they generate while creating jobs and bolstering the economy. Our policies instead drive them off shore.

Win or lose in extremely liberal Mass., I hope today is the start of a revolt.

Go, Massachusetts!

I never thought I would ever see a Republican seated in Massachusetts -it almost makes me think that voting works. Almost.

Taxachusetts folks will have to change the gun restrictions in their state next.

Two miracles within 6 months in Mass., Kennedy kicks it and a Rep. gets elected it. I see a light at the end of the tunnel but the battery is still low. Hope the upcoming elections change that.

We The PEople just slipped a big torpedo into the obamist 'ship-of-state' - may it's sinking be quick........ ;)

Many Democrats are wanting to get the confirmation done quickly and the voting on the HealthScare Deform held until it's done - even they are tired of bobo's nonsense! [stirpot]

I would think that the leftist would let this evil bill of healthcare die in place . Health care could use a kick in the pants but not in the head.

Brown voted for the Massachusets Healthcare deal when they passed that debacls which included on demand funded abortions.

He may be able to filibuster, but I don't think he is the shining night of a republican everyone thinks he is. He is a "moderate, middle of the roader". I would classify him as a ...... Blue Dog Democrat.

Again, he just played the game at the right time.

Whatever everyone says.....he is still far more liberal than a "conservative".

As always, don't get your hopes up. Its the government and congress and political and he will get bought eventually.

He certainly is not a Ron Paul.

Last sentence is true without question. And yes, he did get into the game at the "right" time. And also yes, a hard core republican he ain't and never will be. The fact remains he represents a sea change in MA voter thinking which signals some grumpyness among the electorate in MA, and that seems to reflect the shifting nationally, it's a matter of degree. This cannot be interpreted as a referendum on zero, but sure indicates to me a gross dissatisfaction with dot gov.

The donkeys are in high dudgeon, bickering and blustering, finger pointing left and right. (Some might say disarray.) Bwaney Fwank is sputtering indignantly. I'm luvvin' it.

today is 01/20/2010.... strip the 01/ and the 10 and we have 20/20...

We can see clearly now the Dem is gone

Now it's time to start "1 Vote YES = 1 Vote NO". If you, our representative, vote yes on the healtSCARE bill, we will vote NO to re-electing you! We will put the money and the muscle behind any candidate who opposes it and is willing to repeal it com November.

I hate to say it, but it matters not that a Mass. senate seat went to a Republican. Him or some other "run of the mill, crooked, corupt, greedy politician" will accept a Whitehouse bribe to vote as Lord Obama Dictates. Mark my words!!! It sucks, and It is time for Change! Change along the lines of the first American Revolution or the French one.

It's a step in the right direction. a republican in KENNEDY's SEAT?!
We have a real chance of dumping Boxer, but Pelosi...she could hold public executions and still win......

Brown would slap you silly. It's the PEOPLE's seat. (I suspect there are a lot of other critters that would like to lay claim to a chair like Fat Ted did, and have forgotten who gave them the privilege of using it.)

Botox Nancy must be removed. That said, she is ingesting a major helping of crow with Brownie elected. And Zero directed her to seat Brown before any vote on health care. +1 for him on that, and it's the ONLY time he's earned it so far.
