Can I assume then you are aware that the swedes pronounce jung as (young) as apposed to jung as like in (jungle). I once had a swede in the service who worked for me by the name of Jung.
And, of course, let's not forget that there was a guy named Jung that developed a theory of psychiatry --. (CRC needs some consulting time --)
I can neither confirm or deny the statement above. Nor will I comment further on the issue for fear of a north wind blond hurricane riding south on a flamingo and tossing coconuts. LOL
I'm much more of a Jungian than a Freudian...Yes, I know who Carl Jung is...and yes I know how it's pronounced....I was born at night y'all, but not LAST night...
Davis Mountains near Fort Davis/Alpine at about 6,000 feet. Home to deer, javelina, lion, coyote, bear, turkey, raptors, fox and many other mammals. Fortunately, not many people. Thanks all for the welcomes and my screen name does come from Carl Jung. He predicted our societies crash decades ago saying society had to come up with something to replace the loss of religion that has been happening. He believed spirituality was a basic part of all human beings and without a way to manifest it, people are like rudderless ships. This poem by Yates says it for me. TURNING and turning in the widening gyre The falcon cannot hear the falconer; Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world, The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere The ceremony of innocence is drowned; The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity. Surely some revelation is at hand; Surely the Second Coming is at hand. The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert A shape with lion body and the head of a man, A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun, Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds. The darkness drops again; but now I know That twenty centuries of stony sleep Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle, And what rough beast, its hour come round at last, Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born? Yates Sorry, I get carried away.
I read the letters he and Bill Wilson exchanged....(Founder of Alcoholics Anonymous) and they are really interesting...Jung's philosophy had a huge impact on the original 12 Step Programs..... I have an immediate family member who is in AA, and has been for almost 41 yrs...(and he doesn't care if I break his anonymity...he gave me permission)...I read a book he gave me and a lot about Carl Jung, and his contributions in there... And I still like the screen name..
