Banned while registering!!

This guy didn't last long

 

His email address and IP address (sourced to 9 different countires) was heavily reported on SFS - his spams are for drugs and sex, not necessarily in that order. That one was an easy call.

More like a well concealed snare, catch 'em unaware. These toads don't look before they step.

 

Righthand and Conagher are the survivalmonkey swat team when it comes to eliminating SPAM and spammers from the forum. I'd say they average about 10 bans a week and most of you never even notice, which is exactly why they stay on top of it. I just happened to catch this glimpse of his profile and thought it worthy of a screen capture.

We subscribe to a couple of 'no spam' services as well as keep rolling logs of IP addresses and countries of origin. Let's just say that it would be extremely difficult for a Chinese or a Russian prepper to join the site right now.

 

They are all pre-profiled for us on a couple anti-spam sites. Enter the IP, and voila!! Down they go. Gotta admit we are playing the odds that they won't make a legitimate post. Generally, the toad gets banned and the IP left alone. It only takes a couple posts from that IP and we turn it off as well figuring it's the same toad.

I have to say that caught while registering is pretty common. Way more than once I've looked at who's on line, saw the registering activity and went to the user's profile and found it already banned. Seriously, they are not obvious to the membership that way. High marks to the swat team, timely and thoro.
