The paragraph below is a portion from an e-mail from a good fishin/huntin buddy of mine. His wife took these pics just after the incident occured in their front yard.
    What would you do ?

"Here he is. My wife had just gotten into the house with Gillian (my daughter you met on the boat), when a couple of minutes later she heard some commotion outside the front door. She opens the door and our dog is laying on his back against the door with this wolf standing 6' away from her staring into the house. The dog had saliva stringers all over his back and a cut on his patooty. Lucky to be alive. Two dogs were confirmed wolf killed in our neighborhood this spring. And they think we are weird bloodthirsty wolves for wanting to control their numbers?"

No shovel needed. Drag to street, run over it and leave it as bait. More bang - bang to follow.

That's like almost like having gators in all your lakes and creeks. LOL enjoy.

Yup...In this case no doubt there has to be some "control" measures taken.
Since there is no other way to control them other than a really long, and large (tall) fence....I'd have to say, it's time to take matters to hand.
I hate to say shoot them all, but when it comes down to family and protection of one's pets and property, there is a limit!

  11. I'd say its for sure time to teach the wolf a serious lesson, the last lesson he'll ever have.

Now that I take a longer look at that sucker, it is identical to shape, and coloration of our danged coyote's! ( only the size is a tad bit larger, say about triple!)
Had my guy call me at 1 am, has the coyotes made a run at out place again!
I asked what he had been doing earlier in the day...
    Wanna guess?

Barbecuing steaks ouside on the BBQ grill!
Yeah, well some day that guy will either "learn" or he'll be a snack for them critters!
Might as well be washing his bloody hands in a stream of Pirahna's!
    Talk about "pushing the envelope"!
I though about gettng him some fresh ground beef, really fresh and bloody, and have him take a walk through the trees!
Bet that'll cure the whole problem!
I was plannnig on putting a couple of live chickens, tethered, out on the road, where they like to come in ....then "snipe" the suckers!
But seems it's illegal to bait them!
(If no one sees me do it, it never happened!)
    snicker!

First I'd call my brother. He's a wildlife biologist in idaho. He worked in Kenai Alaska on a wolf project for a year. Trapped many wolves gathering data for his research.
If he couldn't help get rid of em' quickly...
I'd have to do it my way... I heard they taste like chicken?[drooling]

    Call me Snake.

    I'd call Greenpeace.
Ask if PETA could send some positive vibes.
    Then sing Kumbaya.

    No, really, I would!
Why are you looking at me like that? I'm telling the truth...

I think the real question is "Who would not shoot this wolf?"

ETA: I am reading "White Fang" right now. I just finished "The Call of the Wild". If there is any question about a wolf's nature.... read some Jack London.

I understand priere dogs and the holes they make so ok I dont know.. Not the type of person to just shoot for the hell of it is what i am trying to say..

Around here coyotes are just abit bigger than a fox, that looks like a medium german shephard size, on the porch? there's an 870 with 5- OO in the butt cuff within reach. drop the first round directly into the waiting open chamber, stuff the rest into the mag chik-boom; chik-chik.._
