Trying to reach author for PDF copy

    Folks...

I thought I had downloaded this for my father-in-law and realized I had only chapters 1-20. I'd like to see if I can contact the author for the original PDF which was posted here (I'd be happy to send him 10 bucks for the trouble!).

Please count me in for the contest as well!

Anyone know how I can get a hold of the author for the original PDF which was posted here? I promise I'll buy the book when it comes out and/or even give him 10 bucks here/now!

    Thanks...

Halffast checks this thread from time to time. I doubt you'll see the PDF here again but I've heard rumors of a summer release of LO in print form.

I feel your pain but David entrusted us as a repository for Lights Out and I am bound to honor his request to remove the digital copy.

    It won't be long...

    Melbo...

Thanks for responding and I totally appreciate your respect for David. Maybe he'll check this thread and I can get a preview - mostly for my father-in-law because I goofed and had this story printed and bound for him at Kinkos not knowing I only had the first 20 chapters - doh!

    Thanks again for responding.

    Cheers...

I've already read One Second After by Forstchen and would love to read Lights Out as well. Interesting stuff.

If I were to win I would donate my copy back to the forum to auction for profit. I will be pleased to buy several copies whether I win or not. This is one of the best books I've read of any genre, and I have encouraged this publication before. Very VERY happy to hear this wonderful news!!! Thanks and CONGRATS HalfFast!

I have read about half of the book, but it difficult to read such a big book online for me. But I loved the book, and will definately buy one, when they come out, and probably several for friends.

But yes, please count me in for a signed copy.

    copy of book

I just stumbled upon Lights Out today. I am very happy for Mr. Crawford but... I found the first 150+ pages but not the whole book. The book takes place in San Antonio & I live in San Antonio so I was hooked.
Now what do I do to get a copy? Do I have to wait around until someone publishes it? If David is here in town, I'll meet you and pay you a few bucks for a cd. Any other suggestions?

It's rumored to be available sometime this summer.
I'm afraid you'll have to wait a little bit but check back here often as I'm certain they will be available here the minute they are published...

We are doing some editing on the story right now. I hope to have printed copies available by the end of July. Keep you fingers crossed for me that we make that deadline. The twenty signed copies will come out of the first printing and be sent to Melbo as soon as I have them.

You all have been so kind to me. My deepest appreciation to everyone here at SM!

Would love to have a copy of this book. I read it online some time back and found it to be a great read. I read Forstchen's One Second After too, but the details and lessons of this book really stick with me.

    Halffast,

That is awesome news, I can hardly wait. Is there any way to pre-order from the first printing (and will you only be signing these 20 or will it be possible to buy a signed copy)?

    Count me in, too!

I find TEOTWAWKI fiction to be a great way to keep expanding my survival mindset, looking at new approaches, possibilities, ideas. Haven't read any part of your book yet, but I am eager to do so.
