Id just like to say a Big Thanks to Bear for the beautiful Axe he so generously sent me. The post man turned up this afternoon and I was like a kid opening his presents on Christmas day. The axe is absolutely a work of art and Bear your a true Artisan. I love the temper colours that are on the axe,the shape and craftsmanship that has gone into it. I made a couple of minor modifications to the axe,I cut the top of the shaft down by an inch and convexed the cutting edge. In Keeping with the Viking style of the axe i added the Viking Rune for the first letter of my name which is J the rune also means Good year and this axe is the best piece of kit I have had this year,so I think the rune is very much suited to the axe. I need to make a jacket for the Axe but man I cannot wait to get out there and use it. I did a little chopping with it and it's awesome. Anyway enough waffling, here's some photos of my new Axe. It really is in keeping with the type of kit I use. The Viking rune that stands for the first letter on my name J
Very nice, and I'll say thanks to Bear as well. I've received a couple of packages from him, along with a bunch of advise.
