Thinking about the Kershaw Leek as a daily carry. Who has experience with this knife? Any issues with the assisted open?
    Thanks for any feedback.

I have a couple. Love them.
The safety is made of plastic and will eventually break.

No issues at all with assist. The nice thing about it is that the blade has an extension that pokes through the back of the knife and acts as a "push button" to open the knife in lieu of the thumb stud.

Thanks for the feedback. Is the safety an issue? I would not likely to use it anyways unless the knife tends to open in your pocket.

I've had it open in my pocket a few times (I've carried it on and off for more than 7 years), but it didn't do any damage.
It isn't under a lot of spring tension like a switchblade.

My daily carry is the one in cocobolo in the middle of the page.
