Try this...close out SM - clear all SM cookies, then log back in again clicking "remember me"

If you still have troubles, let me know and I can walk you through some things.

    Here's the basic fix:
Log out by clicking 'Log Out'
Clear your browser cookies, cache and history
    Close your browser
    Restart browser
    browse to
    Code:
    www.survivalmonkey.com/forum/
(try using www if you are not already)
    Login and check 'Remember Me'

    ;)
If that doesn't work add these steps after 'close browser':
    Uninstall browser
    Reinstall browser
    Shut Down PC
    Remove Hard Drive
    Remove RAM
Unplug power supply and count to 20
Turn off power to house at main breaker
Turn on power to house at main breaker
Count to 20 and plug in power supply
    Install RAM
    Install HDD
    Turn on PC
    Uninstall browser
    Install Browser
    Install different browser
    Install different OS
    Change passwords

    YGBSM!!!
If your work machine remains on line (on the web) SM should not drop you and force re-logging in unless you let the inactivity timer expire, which I think is set to two hours. If the timer expires 'cause you didn't do anything, you gotta log back in. At home, if you close the browser, SM drops you, and you'll have to log back in. "Remember me" does not automatically log you in, it simply remembers your user name and password so you can log back in with one click. At least that's the way it used to work; I've stopped using remember me, so I haven't tested that mode recently.

    MS XP, Firefox here.

I think that there are some that never have to log back in with 'remember me' checked. I think this (My cookies, cache and history clear each time I close browser) because whenever I've made a change that reset or altered the cookies on the server, I've had people email me for their password stating that they've not had to log in for months...

    [dunno]

Could be, I changed some things several months ago in the cookie department, but made no changes in the cache or history that I can remember now. Before that, with remember me checked, I was in one clik login mode.

    UGRev Get on with it!

with vBulletin software, this can happen when the forum software is updated. In fact, it's a quite frequent occurrence for me when the vBulletin boards I visit are updated (using FireFox or IE). This generally means the cookie is "cooked" and you need to dump the cookie and login again. I haven't had this happen to me using Google Chrome...yet.
