I have a Stag AR, and looking to possibly get a Mini-14. My concerns are with magazines. Factory Ruger magazines are reliable - but very expensive. This is one advantage I see to the AR platform - inexpensive mags. Anyone have any experiance and recommendations with non-Ruger aftermarket mags that are very reliable?

    Thanks all -

Cproducts has just released 20 and 30 rd stainless steel mags for the Mini-14. Have never tried them for the Ruger, but bought a bunch of them for my DPMS 308 rifles at $16.00 apiece and they work flawlessly which can't be said for DPMS's own factory mags which can run up to $60.00 apiece.

I thought Ruger was selling 20 and 30 rounders again? I wouldn't use anything but Ruger mags in mine. Even the 'best' aftermarket mags hag failed repeatedly.

C products are probably gtg. I use their AR15 mags. Good stuff.

In the past, I had about 10 USA mags that actually worked. I know, they aren't supposed to, but mine did. I wouldn't recommend them because that is not the norm.

Buy a few of the C products and give them a run. If they work, buy more.

Yes - Ruger factory mags are available but expensive.
