Since I quit making I still have some blanks laying around, all heat treated by Bos and ready to go! They need to be cleaned up on a grinder or disc grinder and final ground from 120 to 400 grit and sharpened. All this can also be done by hand but it's a lot of work!

I have 2 Fighters that are made from 1/4" D2. These are 6" blades and 12" overall, and have lightening, handle and thong hole tubing holes drilled. Hollow ground on a 10" wheel. $75 each.

2 more Fighters that are made from 3/16" CPM154. These are 6" blades and 12" overall, and have lightening, handle and thong hole tubing holes drilled. Hollow ground on a 10" wheel. $75 each.

1 Bird & Trout blank - 3 1/2" blade and 8 1/2" overall. Made from CPMD2, all holes drilled. Hollow ground. $60 each. (2 sold!)

1 Small Skinner blank - 2 1/2" blade and 7 1/2" overall, made from CPMD2. NOT GROUND. I profiled them and drilled all the holes and sent them for HT, intending to grind them later. Perfect for flat or hollow grinding. $60 each. (1 sold!)

A great way to get a Valkman knife for cheap! [boozingbuddies]

I will take a bird and trout if you still have these available! And thanks!

I will send you an updated address in PP since it isn't the same as the last time I ordered from you. Oh, how much do you want for shipping so I can send you the due?

Kevin, those are available although you and Brokor kind of caught me with my pants down - I probably won't be able to mail these until Monday or Tuesday. For your order PP $130 and that'll cover their 3% or whatever they take and the shipping. PP to DLKnives@sbcglobal.net

    Blades received...thanks!
I understand that you are no longer making knives, I wish it weren't true, but do you still have finished knives from your site to sell?

No, Kevin, I already sold all finished knives.

Well I hope you keep the site up for a bit for some inspiration.

I read somewhere that knivemaking is based on the styles of the past and that realistically no creation is ever completely unique. While that seems obvious to me in part, it is equally obvious that there are those creative people out there who put their own stamp on the knives they create.
I haven't been here for long but I wanted to say thanks for being one of those people.

Okay, lets wipe away the lone tear and move on...sheesh!

Those blades are going to be for me, so I'm going to wait until I finish the other projects I have going. But I will definitely post pics when done. I have a Picasa account where I'm keeping pics of the handles I've done so far. I'm also going to post pics of the wooden swords I've completed as soon as I finish the broadsword that's in the works.

Well it's true that we all leave our "mark" on our knives - most of us can identify makers just by looking at their knives. We all have a certain stlye I guess.

If your knife has big holes that look like they're 1/4", they are a bit bigger than that and 1/4" pins will fit. Same with the small holes but it's 1/8" pins that will fit. Welding rod works real well for that. :)
