This is interesting. I do not know how well it REALLY works, but it looks promising.

I detox with water, maple syrup, lemon juice and hot chili...15 days every year...so far it's perfect.

+100 on the water and lemon juice. The lemon juice does wonders for breaking down calcium oxalate (think kidney stones).

...Or Natrium chlorite and lime juice, followed by nice spoon of baking soda... :D

"help support a healthy immune system, remove heavy metals and toxins, and balance your body's pH levels" - Last time I checked, lemon juice, cayenne pepper, spices, and water help you lose weight...but I was talking about actually detoxifying, you know, in a scientific and clinically proven method.

I like the organic lemons, cayenne pepper, maple syrup drink thing, too.

Trying to eliminate the HEAVY METALS from your body tends to be a little difficult. Hence, the post I made. ;)

I *like* and have used the Waiora zeolites, but I have some serious issues with the MLM sales format. There are other options if you are so inclined. Brokor is correct- in order to bind heavy metals, you do need something with a serious negative charge. Bentonites and zeolites have a cage-like structure with a massive capability to scrounge up positively charged heavy metals. A caution- start with SMALL doses. Detox reactions from heavy metals can be a royal bi**. Regular bentonite clay you can purchase at the health food store is good, just make sure you drink it with a whole lot of water. I usually throw in some psyllium seed husk for good measure. Zeolites from Healthforce Nutritionals are IMHO the best. Called Intestinal Drawing Formula. (I am not affiliated with any of the above btw). Good stuff, but take it SLOWLY!

Wow. Bentonite. Nothing like drilling mud to clean the pipes. The must either result in crapping clay pots or projectile pooping...which some weirdo might call art!

Bentonite is also used to seal basement leaks. Not so sure I'd be willing to risk blocking up my poop chute in the name of trying to find some heavy metals. Wet it, and it swells mightily; corkus gigantus. (Yeah, stay with really small doses if you think you need to try it, and not just at first.)

Yup, Bentonite and Zeolite (two forms of volcanic clay) are also used for other things (such as sealing basement cracks and errant oil wells). Make sure what you are taking is food grade, as some clay is already lousy with heavy metals (which is why it works so well). It *can* cause some slowing of the movements, which is why you combine it with psyllium husk. Some practitioners also recommend an intestinal movement herb such as Cascara or Rhubarb. As always, YMMV, consult your local alternative healthcare practitioner, etc. etc. Oh, and the taste is mighty fine...drilling mud- it's whats for breakfast. ;) It sure does work though.
