WOW, I clicked on 5 of the airplane incidents, all reported the aircraft type as: Somehow I don't think that's a personal AC, if they are, I want one LOL
Ok, let me rephrase. I gather many of those are small, non-commercial sized, non-major airline, non-large capacity, non-airbus sized, non-commercial passenger, planes, including but not limited to, personal air craft. In other words.. turn the panic lights off because it's probably not an epidemic of passenger jets having problems. Probably not much more than usual.
Seen at least a dozen of those A-10 here landing with missing parts of tails, wings and holes all over them...even with bloody and barely alive pilots...And they still managed to land! What sort of an incident could down 5 of them in one day???
Bane, I will be willing to bet that 90% (or more) of those are not AC crashes, but rather "while taxiing plane "A" clipped the wing of plane "B". Everything that happens on the tarmac of a public airport gets reported to the FAA. Also, even damage from storms get reports. Have a hailstorm and your plane is damaged? Yup that's reported. So while RSOE is nice, it "over reports" some things IMHO.
