Posted this at my blog this morning, which Melbo kindly linked in headlines, but wanted to be sure everyone saw it.

The National Inflation Association has been responsible for several great videos about our troubles. They're all at Youtube. This one is the best yet.

    <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/AQv-sdMCClQ?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/AQv-sdMCClQ?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>

    Watch it, then let's discuss.

I watched the whole thing. Makes you want to mortgage your house, sell everything and buy metal even tho' you can't eat it. I can't take it as more than a worst case analysis, but there are seeds of truth in it. I'll not panic just yet, I want to see what comes of this election first.

that was one of their better documentaries...right up to the part where Gerard was sitting in his chair with his red silk tie and his little cat-dog on his lap.

Some of it makes sense but a bunch of it is IMHO bogus... too many twists and spins... almost as bad as political propaganda... sorry i can't buy over half of it... if they limited the i formation to legitimate non isolated instances i would agree with them... but they blew it big time with hyping it up...

for sake of our information, can you cite a few instances?

I submit that their claim that they accurately predicted food shortages across the globe was bull**** as their primary pimp was the shortage being due to the economy, not natural disasters.

Too many generalized statements based on isolated occurances...i.e. a statement by amn individual purported to be a low level NYPD official means that there are quotas for all law enforcement officials... notice that the majority of their representitive statements come from California, New Your, Jew Jeresy etc... places known for their odd ball laws... the language used over states issues much the same way liberal press uses indeginous freedom fighters where Fox or i read terrorists... selective uses of Debt Stats...plenty of Mights, and coulds... It just dosen't hang togeather... a lot of isolated issues in a few odd ball liberal states may mean major issues for those states but not everyone as a whole... could this have been written in a stronger way yes... but it woulden't be as sensational... Do we as a country have issues... yes we do will we have to pay for them in the future definately do we need to prepare of course... do i think the NIA is on the right track.... nope

I looked up the association on their site ...I'm thinking that this is a possible front for gold and silver sales companies based upon a few things at their site... the majority of the 22 companies on their stocks page are Gold/Silver companies...

further research shows that th president of NIA is a stock Broker...

"Gerard Adam's track record is one of the best in the small cap market, having a record year in 2009. Mr. Adams has been bullish on commodities (Gold, Silver,& Agriculture) for many years, even while gold was still under $600 an ounce. In 2009, Mr. Adams enjoyed an average gain of 269% on 14 Gold Stocks he had picked earlier that year, while his Silver Stock Picks had an average gain of 260% that year. "

looks like all of the NIA documentaries might put extra cash in his pocket...

Thanks for your explanation. I'm sure we'll all find it useful.
I agree with you about Gerard and mostly about the "scare tactics" for buying gold that the NIA puts out. But there is information in there that I found useful. I do particularly find Mr. Celente very informative, and for him to be on there does lend some credence to the NIA's integrity. Yeah, they are huge bulls on gold. But if you go into the videos with this in mind, you can pick out the useful bits.

Good comments. I know NIA is pushing metals, but hell, Realtors are still pushing homes. In the scheme of things, NIA isn't a bad actor.

They were right on about the looming police state in America. That's something I pay a lot of attention to. The video clip from 15th and Larimer in Denver of a cop throwing a bystander to the ground eventually cost the director of public safety his job, because he covered for the cops who did it. That kind of crap, and worse, is happening with regularity in every US city. (If you don't believe me, read a month or two worth of reports at www.injusticeeverywhere.com.)

As to quotas, Witch Doctor, call them what you wish, but please don't pretend any cop anywhere can coast through the work day without writing tickets, or that governments don't push cops hard for that revenue. There isn't a municipality or county left in America that can get by taxing us at the published rates, and tickets are a big way they make up the difference. Back in a suburb of Denver, the city had more traffic ticket cash registers than any supermarket had check out lanes. Out in the little rural county of 22,000 I moved to to get away from this sh*t, they're broke too. The county commissioners ordered the Sheriff to write $100,000 worth of tickets a month. That's $4 per person, per month in TRAFFIC TICKETS for every man, woman and child who lives here.

We have a long, straight, paved country road out here where the speed limit abruptly drops to 35 for no reason. Guess where the cops hide with radar? I'd rather have the Mafia shake me down! At least that doesn't make your car insurance rates go up, or cost people jobs based on driving records. The crap we live with today makes a little tax on tea sound downright enjoyable.

Ghrit: Fact is, even if all the Republicans about to be elected had a spine (they don't) and even if they had a veto-proof majority (they won't) and even if they repealed everything Obamapelosi passed (never happen) we'd still have a trashed economy, plus we'd be several TRILLION deeper in debt. And, that's BEFORE the Fed drops QE II in our laps!

At this point it's all about the numbers. If you do the math, political victory is no longer possible. At some point, the only way out of this will be forward through a collapse. My gut feeling is we're there, meaning this election is (at best) a stay of execution. We're still on death row...

I think i wrote a total of 20 tickets in my 10 years of law enforcement... your generalization dosent ring true... admittedly web were in somewhat better times but no we had cops that liked tickets and wrote a bunch of them... many of my friends would only write tickets for gross violations...

Do we have people who shouldn't be cops damn right... do we have cops who have spent 10 or more years working with the dregs of society and have slipped into treating others that way... yep... but i really hate generalities... for every bad cop there are many trying to do right in a difficult job.

I had a good friend like you. He was a Denver cop, and I used to ride along with him quite a bit. He got pressured to write more tickets so he went downtown and wrote up all the legislators who were parked at expired meters! That still makes me smile, whenever I think about it!

That was 30 years ago. I don't know how long you've been away, and I'm not looking to argue, but I'm sure you know policing has changed for the worse, and I'm guessing you understand the difference between a peace officer (now nearly extinct) and a law enforcement officer (found everywhere). Did you check out the link? If you were a good cop, it will make you sad, and probably angry, but it will open your eyes to how bad it is today. If there are still good cops, they are mostly keeping their mouths shut and protecting a lot of bad apples. In my eyes, they're just as guilty as the ones they're protecting.

I'd bet my generalization rings quite true today. You're probably underestimating just how desperate cities and counties are for money in this economy.

I guess we will agree to disagree on this subject... i currently teach Law enforcement for a small liberal arts college... Maybe i'm being a bit Pollyanna about this but i still have a great respect for 90% of the officers i've come in contact with... it just that the bad one get all of the press...

Their videos all sound pretty compelling. I do agree with some of what they say but based on how george4title portrays himself on YouTube & the fact that NIA is Jonathon Lebed I don't trust them. Others have no problem getting on board with them and that's fine. Watch their stuff but think critically before backing all that they say.

I watched the whole thing. I appreciate the information you found as well. However, I wouldn't buy gold or silver, even if the man was not a broker and in no way would profit from my purchases. Why? You can't eat gold. You can't eat silver. I will use my money to do like Vinny. Stock my preps, which include ammo, toilet paper, food, even additional seed, and livestock. Barter will be more powerful than precious metals post TSHTF or TEOTWAWKI.

Guys...We are NOT on death row. Seriously. Watch Secret of Oz! The GOVERNMENT controls the amount of money printed in the US. They could just as easily stop any inflation by stopping the money presses. Inflation is the artificial devaluation of the currency by putting more money into circulation than the government could literally buy back from the people. The more money there is, the less it is worth. The less it is worth, the more it money it costs to buy basic goods and services.

The only money with any true value is coinage, and only metal value at that. Paper money is, under the current system, literally controlled by the BANKS. Thomas Jefferson warned us about this. This is NOT tinfoil hat stuff guys, it is economics. With a concerted effort, our Government could hamstring the banks, get the money situation back under control and eliminate the national deficit. Until then, I am prepping, voting, and praying for our nation.

The government controls the printing of money? I'd beg to differ.

The Federal Reserve Act of 1913 is best described as a hostile takeover of the US Government by private banking interests. These days, the US Government is just middle management...

No problem. I actually woke up this morning and toned down a comment I made here last night.

You sound like a good guy. I suspect you ARE a bit Pollyanna about this, but I have no wish to offend, nor do I question your integrity. One of the things I'm working on personally is being more agreeable. Most of us have strong opinions on issues like this and it's too easy to end up at odds over little things when we should be big picture allies.

I hope you'll take what I said in the way I said it - I love this country and am distressed over the decay. Thanks for tolerating me!

A: The government controls the printing of all cash.
B: The Federal Reserve act can be fully repealed and removed.
C: Banks control this government because they control the lending power and the interest rates.
D: Repeal the Fed and take back what is rightfully the provenance of Government.
4 steps to a saner economy.

There's a reason 2 central banks were already abolished. In my life-time, if we get rid of the Fed and some traitorous ****s decide to make another one, I will wage holy ****ing war. I **** you not.
