Uh-oh. Another item for the prep list.

I was thinking the other day about the preps and came to a startling conclusion. I have a great big hole in my inventory. Maybe you do too.

Considering that there are 3 females in my household. I need to make sure that there are sanitary napkins on the prep list. Heaven help us when we run out.

Now I just have to figure out how to ask the wife how many a year supply is with out getting her all riled up!

If you don't have a female in your party, they might make great trade good or make you look like a freaking hero. They can also be used as field dressing or pressure bandage if need be.

back to the store I go but i'm pretty sure the checkout person is going to look at me funny when I clear out their shelf. I'll just tell them that they should be glad they are not in my shoes or something like that.

As for the sanitary napkins there are plenty of companies that will send you tons of free samples and coupons ... just e-mail them ... Free and deeply discounted is always good.

 

Wife had a hysterectomy years ago,doesn't need'em any more,but I have a grown daughter living here.I also have 7 granddaughters,5 of which are teenagers and they come to spend the weekend on occasion.I make dang sure we always have these items around.And as you can imagine,some weekends I spend a lot of time in the barn..

 

I only have 5 granddaughters and all but one is of that age ,I've spent many a day out in the shop ! LOL
We keep plenty of them around ,for use and trade !!

No females in my "group"....Lots of tampons and kotex though!
First time I saw a kotex I thought it looked a lot like Army field dressings!
Guess that's why I got them!???

 

If you're serious about stocking up, I wouldn't spend too much time on free samples. It would take ages a sample at a time to get enough.

It DOES vary quite a bit, but figure at least a 30 ct box per month. Pads are great for packing wounds so keep those in your first aid kit. You better ask their preference before you go stocking up on tampons or pads for personal use though. Active women usually prefer tampons--but brand usually matters. YOu could have a handfull of very upset women if you go buying a year of the wrong thing!!! Better yet, give them some cash and have them get what kind they want. They should know what kind and how many.
