I have a new sign for in front of the house. It was prompted by the below picture: I bought mine here: STS-2S Nothing Inside is Worth Dying For Silhouette Yard Sign STS-2S - Nothing Inside Is Worth Dying For - Patented, Registered Trademarked Our most popular Home Security Yard Sign, Best Seller, Home Invasion Prevention, Home Security Yard Sign that Price? $35.00 The "sphincter factor" it gives a potential burglar? Priceless This sign is a clear statement: YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
NICE, now thats a message. I wonder if they do custom sinage ? I'm thinking about a sign that says come inside uninvited and you will be leaving ventilated.
i like " Warning premisis protected by a deranged Vietnam veteran with a sawed off shotgun... enter at your own risk"
Falcon, I have the exact same ones at my house, but they are sticker sized, about 4"x6" and I just photocopied them and taped them to every window.
Why not just put up a sign that says "There are firearms inside this house, watch carefully to make sure that no one is home before you try to steal them"?
Because the psychology is the deterrent. Additionally, it is rare - extremely so- that the house is unoccupied.
Showed my wife this post. Her reply: Wouldn't it be nice to just put up a "Welcome" sign like people used to years ago?
I like to see out of my windows for better target acquisition. Castle Law in Texas is pretty implicit. Trespassers CAN and WILL be LEGALLY shot.
If you can read this..... My favorite sign for the property edge is: If you can read this, you are within range <input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">
I have a sticker that says that, got it about 20yrs ago. Along with one that reads "driver only carries $20 in ammo"
Funny to laugh about here on the net, but if you're ever involved in a shooting, I'd take the sign down before the lawyers see it.
I live in Texas. We have something called the Castle Law. That provision states in part: The entire script of the law can be found here: Gun Laws
Being a NY'er like tc556guy above we aren't used to the Castle Doctrine stuff lol. I like when I took my pistol permit class how they tell you that you have to do everything in your power to get out of your own house so you aren't forced to shoot someone. It's pretty disheartening.
