SD weapon to not get the wife

My son sent this to me and ft I had to share it

but she did maintain control and had the weapon popinting down range with only minor devaitions... he on the otherhand spent the night on the couch

 

There's always some a$$ that gets a laugh out of doing this to a novice shooter.
If I was there, I'd take the pistol and smack him in the face with it and see how funny it is then.

 

I really dislike idiots of this 'caliber'..... like the ones who hand their GFs a Mosin Carbine to shoot, when they haven't ever shot so much as a twentytwo.....

 

i did that to mine last week and she fired of the round and started giggling she loved it (i did give her some guidance on how to shoot though) and wanted to shoot more

 

I have found one young woman who isn't 'recoil shy'. I hosted a small group of college kids at our range a couple years back at the behest of a friend at work. I had them on pistols - .22LR, .38/.357 Mag and 9mm, and rifles - M1 Carbine, AK, SKS and .30-30.
This one young lady really liked my Ruger Security Six .357 Magnum (large target grips and all) and got into my stout handloads. She shot the whole box and asked for more! And she was a petite little woman! But no back-up in her, and she was pretty danged GOOD with a handgun! I'd hate to be the perp trying something with her!

 

I'll bet that you told her what to expect, and the proper way to grip the firearm, the right stance to minimize recoil effects, in short, you would not allow her to do anything that would injure herself, right?

 

Right you are! These folks got the full "Safe gun handling 101" lecture......

Good kids. One boy was going into the Marines, and was curious about the AK - his platoon leader may be surprised in Sand land when this kid is already familiar with the AK. ;-)

 

Now my wife loves shooting guns. But Because of her R.A. she cannot shoot anything bigger than a .38+p, or a .223 rifle due to excessive kick, So I wouldnt even think of
putting a handgun of that size in her hands but believe me if it wasnt for the R.A,. She could shoot it quite well. This guy obviously has no brain between his ears, it has all fallin down into his derriaire where he sits on it daily, and is most likly the consistancy of the product that we talk about hitting the fan on a daily basis.

your standards of "performance" are VERY low, is all I can say, if you 'think" that a novice can adquately control a full bore 357 in the sort of rapidfire necessary for effective SD. Even Jerry Miculek can't do that. His speed shooting slows WAY down when he moves up to the 357 full bore ammo. Like 2x as slow. do you really consider a 20 second 100 yd dash to be "fast?" Being 2x as slow as need be, with your life on the line, is pretty stupid.

Not all shooting is to "TRAIN FOR SD", which is this fool's ONLY considered use for shooting. Poor SOB leads a very sheltered life, reading thirty year old gun mags in Momma's basement.......
