These flags may be priceless for SHTF. Just think; you come out with a French flag, the SHTF crowd relaxes there guard seeing it and you open up on them while they are laughing at you.
I was about to contest this statement as I was well aware that France left Nato in 1966 and ordered all Nato facilities in France abandoned except by French troops. They petitioned Nato to rejoin in 2009 and were accepted. This went unnoticed by me until researching for answering your post ...... it is of little consequence either way. I am no fan of the French at this point in time. Maybe that will change with time, maybe not. Should ML and UN foriegn troops ever come to the US, being french would hold no positive impact on me.
Did you notice on the news of yesterday, NATO will not take over the Libyan No Fly Zone till early this week, because the French Planes can't fly in BAD Weather..... and they need the All-Weather US Aircraft capabilities, until the Brits can get there aircraft in theater..... You go French.... NOT....
If they want US capability, they need to pay for it. Or, I'd make a bet that the former Iron Curtain countries have the capability, if they want to pay for it. Can you say mercenaries? It's a simple matter of pay to play.

As they were still armed with WWI weapons facing Hitler's heavy armor and mechanized Infantry; I've always felt sorry for the French. That means they are authentic.
