My neighbors kid needs homework help and I can't remember the formula. If you have 4 people sitting at a table, how many different seating combinations are possible? And how many for 5 people? I am trying to explain to them that it is an exponential equation or something and there is a formula for this, but they can't seem to find it in the text book.
Would it be 4 and for the latter 5 ? Show your work please so I can explain ?

    24 and 120 respectively. It's called "factorial". 4! = 4 * 3 * 2 * 1
