haven't seen any threads posted on these rascals .Thought I'd share a few bits here.If anyone hasn't read the book of Enoch I'd suggest it for a more complete primer on these giants. I feel with the info and scripture presented ,we'll be or are dealing with them.

The "Sons of God" and the Nephilim The "Sons of God" and the Nephilim

The plan of Satan was to genetically modify the DNA of Messiah.

Prophecies from the books of Enoch and Jasher are being fulfilled in these last days. Even though these books were not canonized as books of the Bible, they were spoken of in the Bible. Being that this is so, it seems significant that the authors in the scriptures studied these books and were willing to quote from them. There is a lot of history in these books. Could it be that these books were kept from being canonized to keep us ignorant of the past, which would hold some of the keys to understanding the future.

Why was there genetic manipulation going on before the great flood? Why is it going on today? Is there a deep-seated satanic purpose for all of this? Of course there is. Before the flood Satan wanted to defile mankind so that there would not be a pure bloodline for the appearance of Yahshua ha Mashiach (Jesus Christ). Yahweh would be unable to send His Son to be the perfect lamb and then Satan could be the god he wants to be. Satan likes to do things in a deceptive way, so he can fool the populace. But, Yahweh will always do things in a minuscule, but truthful way to show His glory. Yahweh will aways win.

Genetic manipulation is going on today and again the root element is that Satan wants to rule and sit on the throne in Jerusalem in the place of Yahshua the Messiah, quite contrary to Yahweh's laws of creation. This could be a stretch of the imagination, but now days it's not impossible.

So don't be surprised if you see that the Son of Perdition is a designer clone, and that he may look identical to the Jesus in the pictures we are accustomed to seeing.

Check out this 55.55 minute teaching. It's very interesting.

Scot Dryer - 1\12 Antichrist, Nephilim, Islam & Strong Delusion

A two hour teaching on several unusual topics. A look at giants, satan, fallen angels, nephilim and the Sumerian gods. Portions of the Tanakh (Old Testament), apostolic writings & epistles (New Testament) as well as extra biblical sources are covered to provide an overview of what ancient cultures believed concerning the spiritual world mixing with the natural. These ideas are tied into the "last days" scenario according to the scriptures to provide information about the strong delusion that is coming to this earth. This teaching should be viewed after watching "The Antichrist's Attributes" in order to form a better understanding concerning the timing of the strong delusion.
Weird stuff...yet well documented in cultures throughout the entire world. No doubt, more teachings will follow this one.

There is order in the universe. Jesus said that He would never leave nor forsake us. The flood took care of the offspring of the wayward angels so we have nothing to fear from them. IMO Jesus was not a strikingly handsome person but of average appearance--and nothing like the pics we see. He very well may have been a very dark skinned person. Certainly he was an olive skinned man, having an Israelite mother. Do not be fearful of "Quale" type people stirring doubts about the power of God to protect, strengthen, and guide us through life's journeys. Everything is in God's control and on His time schedule. Not to worry or fret--remember the bird's of the air and the flowers of the field. He will be closer than a brother--His promise to us.

Oh I'm far from fretting and worring ,I'm just sharing what has been written so that no ones caught unaware like the 5 virgins.
Ok let's let scripture interpret scripture >are we in agreement that there were giants on the earth before the flood ?

Genesis 6:4

New King James Version (NKJV)

4 There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown. Noah went in the ark and there was the floods right ?

Genesis 7:7

New King James Version (NKJV)

7 So Noah, with his sons, his wife, and his sons’ wives, went into the ark because of the waters of the flood.
Now we're told here in the NT how it will be in the end of days before the return of the Messiah correct ?

Matthew 24:37-39

King James Version (KJV)

37But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

If I have my time line right here these scriptures all happened after the flood and it looks like the flood failed to wipe these son of a guns out right?

Anakim
The descendants of Anak (Joshua 11:21; Numbers 13:33; Deuteronomy 9:2). They dwelt in the south of Palestine, in the neighbourhood of Hebron (Genesis 23:2; Joshua 15:13). In the days of Abraham (Genesis 14:5,6) they inhabited the region afterwards known as Edom and Moab, east of the Jordan. They were probably a remnant of the original inhabitants of Palestine before the Canaanites, a Cushite tribe from Babel, and of the same race as the Phoenicians and the Egyptian shepherd kings. Their formidable warlike appearance, as described by the spies sent to search the land, filled the Israelites with terror. They seem to have identified them with the Nephilim, the "giants" (Genesis 6:4; Numbers 13:33) of the antediluvian age. There were various tribes of Anakim (Joshua 15:14). Joshua finally expelled them from the land, except a remnant that found a refuge in the cities of Gaza, Gath, and Ashdod (Joshua 11:22). The Philistine giants whom David encountered (2 Samuel 21:15-22) were descendants of the Anakim. (See GIANTS .)
Deuteronomy 1:28

New King James Version (NKJV)

28 Where can we go up? Our brethren have discouraged our hearts, saying, “The people are greater and taller than we; the cities are great and fortified up to heaven; moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakim there.

Deuteronomy 2:11

New King James Version (NKJV)

11 They were also regarded as giants,[a] like the Anakim, but the Moabites call them Emim.
Footnotes:
1. Deuteronomy 2:11 Hebrew rephaim

Rephaim repha'im (Hebrew) The sons of Raphah, a Canaanite race of giants; also the weak ones, shades or specters, the quiet and wan inhabitants of Hades or the Underworld, which were nevertheless considered beings of gigantic size, and hence the collocation of the meanings of gigantic magnitude coupled with intrinsic weakness. This last refers to the phantom or astral races of early mankind: the first, second, and early third root-races before they were illuminated and inspired by the manasaputric descent (SD 2:279).
The passage in Job (26:5) translated "Dead things are formed from under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof," should be "dead rephaim."

Smith's Bible Dictionary (1884) , by William Smith. About

[IMG] Easton's Bible Dictionary
lofty men; giants, (Gen. 14:5; 2 Sam. 21:16, 18, marg. A.V., Rapha, marg. R.V., Raphah; Deut. 3:13, R.V.; A.V., "giants"). The aborigines of Palestine, afterwards conquered and dispossessed by the Canaanite tribes, are classed under this general title. They were known to the Moabites as Emim, i.e., "fearful", (Deut. 2:11), and to the Ammonites as Zamzummim. Some of them found refuge among the Philistines, and were still existing in the days of David. We know nothing of their origin. They were not necessarily connected with the "giants" (R.V., "Nephilim") of Gen. 6:4. (See GIANTS.)
(Josh. 15:8; 18:16, R.V.). When David became king over all Israel, the Philistines, judging that he would now become their uncompromising enemy, made a sudden attack upon Hebron, compelling David to retire from it. He sought refuge in "the hold" at Adullam (2 Sam. 5:17-22), and the Philistines took up their position in the valley of Rephaim, on the west and south-west of Jerusalem. Thus all communication between Bethlehem and Jerusalem was intercepted. While David and his army were encamped here, there occurred that incident narrated in 2 Sam. 23:15-17. Having obtained divine direction, David led his army against the Philistines, and gained a complete victory over them. The scene of this victory was afterwards called Baalperazim (q.v.). A second time, however, the Philistines rallied their forces in this valley (2 Sam. 5:22). Again warned by a divine oracle, David led his army to Gibeon, and attacked the Philistines from the south, inflicting on them another severe defeat, and chasing them with great slaughter to Gezer (q.v.). There David kept in check these enemies of Israel. This valley is now called el-Bukei'a.
Deuteronomy 2:21

New King James Version (NKJV)

21 a people as great and numerous and tall as the Anakim. But the LORD destroyed them before them, and they dispossessed them and dwelt in their place,

Joshua 11:21

New King James Version (NKJV)

21 And at that time Joshua came and cut off the Anakim from the mountains: from Hebron, from Debir, from Anab, from all the mountains of Judah, and from all the mountains of Israel; Joshua utterly destroyed them with their cities.

Joshua 14:12-15

New King James Version (NKJV)

12 Now therefore, give me this mountain of which the LORD spoke in that day; for you heard in that day how the Anakim were there, and that the cities were great and fortified. It may be that the LORD will be with me, and I shall be able to drive them out as the LORD said.”
13 And Joshua blessed him, and gave Hebron to Caleb the son of Jephunneh as an inheritance. 14 Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite to this day, because he wholly followed the LORD God of Israel. 15 And the name of Hebron formerly was Kirjath Arba (Arba was the greatest man among the Anakim).
Then the land had rest from war.

According to the Book of Numbers, during the conquest of Canaan by the Israelites, Anak (Heb. 'nq)(spelt as both ענק and as הענק depending upon the reference) was a well known figure, and a forefather of the Anakites[1][2] (Heb. Anakim) who have been considered "strong and tall," they were also said to have been a mixed race of giant people, descendants of the Nephilim (Numbers 13:33). The use of the word "nephilim" in this verse describes a crossbreed of God's sons and the daughters of man, as cited in (Genesis 6:1-2) and (Genesis 6:4). The text states that Anak was a Rephaite (Deuteronomy 2:11) and a son of Arba (Joshua 15:13). Etymologically, Anak means [long] neck[3].
The sons of Anak are first mentioned in Numbers 13. The Israelite leader Moses sends twelve spies representing the twelve tribes of Israel to scout out the land of Canaan, and give a full report to the congregation. The spies enter from the Negev desert and journey northward through the Judaean hills until they arrive at the brook of Eshcol near Hebron, where reside Sheshai, Ahiman, and Talmai, the sons of Anak. After the scouts have explored the entire land, they bring back samples of the fruit of the land; most notably a gigantic cluster of grapes which requires two men to carry it on a pole between them. The scouts then report to Moses and the congregation, that "the land indeed is a land flowing with milk and honey," but ten of the twelve spies discourage the Israelites from even attempting to possess the land, for they reported that the men were taller and stronger than the Israelites, and moreover the sons of Anak dwell in the land, and that they felt like grasshoppers in their presence.
The Anakites are later mentioned briefly in the books of Deuteronomy, Joshua, and Judges. In Joshua, Caleb, one of the twelve spies sent by Moses into Canaan, later drove out the descendants of Anak — his three sons — from Hebron, also called Kiriath Arba.
The Egyptian Execration texts of the Middle Kingdom[4] (2055-1650 BC) mention a list of political enemies in Canaan, and among this list are a group called the "ly Anaq" or people of Anaq. The three rulers of ly Anaq were Erum, Abiyamimu, and Akirum.[5] Anak could be related to the Sumerian god Enki[citation needed]. Robert Graves, considering the relationship between the Anakites and Philistia (Joshua 11:21, Jeremiah 47:5), identifies the Anakim with Anax, the giant ruler of the Anactorians in Greek mythology.[6]

Joshua 12:4

New King James Version (NKJV)

4 The other king was Og king of Bashan and his territory, who was of the remnant of the giants, who dwelt at Ashtaroth and at Edrei,

Joshua 13:12

New King James Version (NKJV)

12 all the kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth and Edrei, who remained of the remnant of the giants; for Moses had defeated and cast out these.

Joshua 15:8

New King James Version (NKJV)

8 And the border went up by the Valley of the Son of Hinnom to the southern slope of the Jebusite city (which is Jerusalem). The border went up to the top of the mountain that lies before the Valley of Hinnom westward, which is at the end of the Valley of Rephaim[a] northward.

Joshua 17:15

New King James Version (NKJV)

15 So Joshua answered them, “If you are a great people, then go up to the forest country and clear a place for yourself there in the land of the Perizzites and the giants, since the mountains of Ephraim are too confined for you.”

Joshua 18:16

New King James Version (NKJV)

16 Then the border came down to the end of the mountain that lies before the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, which is in the Valley of the Rephaim[a] on the north, descended to the Valley of Hinnom, to the side of the Jebusite city on the south, and descended to En Rogel.

Deuteronomy 3:13

New King James Version (NKJV)

13 The rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, the kingdom of Og, I gave to half the tribe of Manasseh. (All the region of Argob, with all Bashan, was called the land of the giants.[a]

New King James Version (NKJV)

28 Nevertheless the people who dwell in the land are strong; the cities are fortified and very large; moreover we saw the descendants of Anak there.

Numbers 13:22

New King James Version (NKJV)

22 And they went up through the South and came to Hebron; Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the descendants of Anak, were there. (Now Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.)

Judges 1:20

Joshua 21:11

New King James Version (NKJV)

11 And they gave them Kirjath Arba (Arba was the father of Anak), which is Hebron, in the mountains of Judah, with the common-land surrounding it.

Joshua 15:13-14

New King James Version (NKJV)

Caleb Occupies Hebron and Debir

13 Now to Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a share among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of the LORD to Joshua, namely, Kirjath Arba, which is Hebron (Arba was the father of Anak). 14 Caleb drove out the three sons of Anak from there: Sheshai, Ahiman, and Talmai, the children of Anak.

Emims
Easton's Bible DictionaryTerrors, a warlike tribe of giants who were defeated by Chedorlaomer and his allies in the plain of Kiriathaim. In the time of Abraham they occupied the country east of Jordan, afterwards the land of the Moabites (Genesis 14:5; Deuteronomy 2:10). They were, like the Anakim, reckoned among the Rephaim, and were conquered by the Moabites, who gave them the name of Emims, i.e., "terrible men" (Deuteronomy 2:11). The Ammonites called them Zamzummims (2:20).

he Nephilim (plural) are a group mentioned twice in the Hebrew Bible; in Genesis 6:4 and Numbers 13:33. The Nephilim are said to be the offspring of the "sons of God" and the "daughters of men." Traditions about the Nephilim being the offspring of unions between angels and humans are found in a number of Jewish and Christian writings. It is believed by many Orthodox Jews that the Nephilim are rather the descendents of human nobility. It is believed by others that the "sons of God" who fathered the Nephilim spoken of in the text were in fact the formerly righteous descendants of Seth who rebelled, while the "daughters of men" were the unrighteous descendants of Cain, and the Nephilim the offspring of their union.

I guess the bottom line here is if we fail to learn and prepare ourselves for what the future may hold then we're only deceiving ourselves.I pray your right and I never have to encounter these giants.I'm sure this type of spiritual warfare is not being taught or discussed in most churches of today. Pray for guidance and discernment folks.

David went out into the plain against the Philistine giant and slew him with a "weapon of God". We can do the same IF we are in the will of God and heed His voice. Remember, we are to be wise as serpents. When the time comes we will be able to take care of business. What concerns me is that God may (probably has) be removing His blessings from the US. IF He has then we will have to suffer calamities just as the Israelites did for turning away. Time will tell--if my people who are called by my name will turn from their wicked ways ---I will heal their land. Surely hope and pray we do turn back to Him before that "point of no return" occurs. He says He will turn one over to a reprobate mind if they continue to scoff, ignore, His love for them. We have taken our hand from the plow and looked back just as Lot's wife did near Sodom. Will we/our nation suffer the same fate?

No fight. Just wondering why you get involved in something basically NOT YOUR BUSINESS. You don't "believe", so you ridicule. You give nothing constructive to the argument - you just nay-say. Just wondering what your motive is.......

The more man digs into past history, the more we find that at the very least, the biblical texts contain some valid histroical information. This is of course couched in the terms understandable to the people of that civilization. Discounting all that they wrote is, at best, very short-sighted.

"Giant" is such a relative term. Giant to whom? You have to keep in mind the *average* size of an adult male at this time (4k years+ ago) was far smaller than it is today.

So, if you speak of giants that were 6' tall, I could see that. But, something larger...no way.

The only giants in our history were dinosaurs...at least they look like giants when I stand next to their bones at the museum.

13. skyking

skyking Monkey+

size matters

You may well be right ,I just wouldn't shut the door to them being a lot bigger than that.

Deuteronomy 3:11

New King James Version (NKJV)

11 “For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of the giants.[a] Indeed his bedstead was an iron bedstead. (Is it not in Rabbah of the people of Ammon?) Nine cubits is its length and four cubits its width, according to the standard cubit. How Long is a Cubit?

The following is a discussion of what a cubit measure
may consist of in the bible.

Eastman's bible dictionary says there are at least 2
measures for the term "cubit":

* Standard cubit : elbow to end of middle finger (20").
* Lower forearm cubit : elbow to base of the hand (12").

From Strong's Definitions:

cubits
Old Testament Hebrew Definition:
0520 'ammah {am-maw'}
prolonged from 0517; TWOT - 115c; n f
AV - cubit 242, measure 1, post 1, not translated 1; 245
1) cubit - a measure of distance (the forearm), roughly
18 in (.5m). There are several cubits used in the OT, the
cubit of a man or common cubit (Dt 3.11), the legal cubit
or cubit of the sanctuary (Eze 40.5) plus others.

So looking at De 3:11:

De 3:11 For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of
giants; behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron;
is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine
cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the
breadth of it, after the cubit of a man.
=========================

So realistically, how tall might a giant like Og have been?

Well, the largest man on record was nearly 9 feet tall. He
did not live long and died at 22 due to complications related
to his size. Recently, there have been two very tall men at
approximately 7.75 feet tall. Given this, it's fairly
reasonable to assume that Og was about 8 to 9 feet tall.

So how long is "the cubit of a man"?

If you use the standard cubit (20"/cubit), Og's height
would be:

Og's height = 9 cubit * 20"/cubit * 1ft/12" = 15 feet

This is NOT real likely.

If you use the lower forearm cubit (12"/cubit), Og's height
would be:

Og's height = 9 cubit * 12"/cubit * 1ft/12" = 9 feet

This is in line with present day very tall men or "giants".

Further, there is another giant listed in the bible, his
name was Goliath:

1 Sa 17:4 And there went out a champion out of the camp
of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath,
whose height was six cubits and a span.

So let's see how tall Goliath was:

If you use the standard cubit (20"/cubit and 9"/span), Goliath's
height would be:

Height = (6 cubit * 20"/cubit + 9") * 1ft/12" = 10.8 feet

This might be possible and would explain the extreme fear he
instilled in the Israelis as he mocked them for 40 days.

If you use the lower forearm cubit (12"/cubit), Goliath's height
would be:

Height = (6 cubit * 12"/cubit + 9") * 1ft/12" = 6.75 feet

This would be a tall man, but not really considered to be
of "giant" caliber. Therefore it's reasonable to assume the
longer cubit for Goliath's measurement.

From this, it's fairly clear that there are at least two
versions of cubit available, one based on the elbow to
tip of the middle finger and another from elbow to the
base of the hand.

God made it all, Jesus died for our sins.

Show me some bones of a human 15' tall that have been carbon dated to ~5k years old and I'll be less skeptical.

well at least we provoked a humerous emotion out there.
I'm pretty thick skinned for sure.I tried to post scripture that would support this subject and that's where I'll have to leave it for now .Stay tuned for some future post that may seem "out there" also.

that could be a tricky deal.I've seen many videos and pics and when you try to verify everything it many times falls apart on you so I'll just keep posting and let the Holy Spirit work out all the small details.

Heard the story of an old preacher confronted by a scoffer. He kept asking the preacher things like, how many angels can fit on the head of a pin, where did so in so get his wife, did Jonah really get swallowed by a whale, and several more useless questions. The old preacher just smiled at each question as it was tossed at him and finally asked the gent--what do you know about a personal relationship with the man named Jesus of Nazereth? Have you ever truefully tried talking with Him? Do you believe there is a Heaven and a Hell? And do you believe there is a satan trying to steal you from God?
Point is, we can spend eternity chasing "rabbits" or get to the "meat" of the issue--what do we do with the "man" Jesus, His teachings, His life, His death, and His resurection. All these things did not happen in a vacumn but were witnessed by hundreds. Many gave their lives telling about their experiences with Him but that is another story.

Book of Enoch attached.
I've always had troubles with Gen 6 because of the other people it references. Enoch was Noah's Father and if I remember it correctly from Book of Enoch, the Sons of God taught the daughters of men to 'kiss the phallus'

Who were the Sons of God that were not the descendants of Adam?

Strange stuff. woo woo
Planet X, etc.

Kissing or "going down" only Enoch knows!

The Book of Enoch, although referenced in canonical Judaic and Christian religious texts, is not canonical itself in either the Judaic or the Christian faiths (with the exception of the Ethiopian Orthodox and the Eritrean Orthodox Churches). Therefore the contents of the Book of Enoch are considered by both faith traditions as "woo woo".

I am of the view that the 'sons of god' taught the 'daughters of man' much more than how to "kiss the "phallus", in which case it's a matter of woo hoo!!!!

Unfortunately there was no equivalent to Larry Flynt in those days so we don't have an illustrated version of the book of Enoch, which I am sure would have sold like hotcakes, and would have spread the faith so much more effectively than a whole long list of "thou shalt nots".

We humans ought to thank the sons of god and the daughters of man for teaching humanity to be more creative in its methods of lovemaking....I don't think Adam and Eve had Oprah or Dr Phil to give them marital advice in those days...and God wasn't much help in encouraging imaginative sexual congress...at least if Onan's story is anything to judge by. Well....that's the missionary position! ; )
