I picked up a pair of these baby's yesterday and just tried them out a few minutes ago...Not to bad..I think 50 feet is pushing it...However looking in the darkest spots in my back yard...Biilyjoejimbob bad guy is in deep dodo... I would not use these to walk across a field...But in close quarter's..these and a 870 will get the job done... Gator, would you do a test for us? When totally Dark, with Unit ON, please fire that Shotgun, and see if the Muzzle Flash Blinds you, and for How Long? This will be the Definitive Test of the System. This test if it passes, will make these a useful System, HOWEVER, if you are Blinded by the Flash for longer than a second, their usefulness is in serious Question. ......
Are those IR bulbs in the one picture? My deer cam has these...and while it doesn't need a flash, those things glow red in the darkness like a big cyclops.
Yes...However you can turn them off and switch over to Stealth mode which cannot be seen by the human eye...
Crazy cheap. I wish Wal-Mart would carry PVS-14s. With their buying power, they might come out to $199 instead of $3500.
