Egg-zactly.

So, is the man:

• afraid of entrepreneurship / discouraging the FBLA / anti-capitalist
• totally focused on tax revenue through permits
• just a bunch of over-zealous jack-booted thugs

There are a lot of laws on the books. The police are the gate-keepers to the criminal justice system. They are the ones that can either look the other way, give a warning, or send a person to jail for judgement.

For some reason, the police are intervening for this "crime." However, they are looking the other way for things like illegal entry into this country. Is it the officer making the decision, or, mandates coming from higher up the chain. Another possibility is that neighbors are calling and complaining.

So, the question is: Whose law and whose order do these actions benefit?

It wouldn't surprise me if HHS/public health officials had some hand in this crackdown. I'm actually surprised that giving out Halloween candy hasn't been banned or incentives given for people to stop handing it out.

It is my opinion that in the future, one of the limiters to personal freedom will be from within the realm of or under the guise of "public health."

 

Gee I guess my kids ammo stand by the gun show next week is a bad idea.

Wasn't the local cops. Apparently may NOT have been the State cops either. Too bad Dad wasn't there to ask the proper questions of whoever laid down 'the law' on the poor kid.
I'd put the stand back up, and stay and see if another 'brown uniform' shows up. Get his name, badge number and agency! Find out just WHY this harrassment?

Hey maybe they are using the drink stands to finance other criminal enterprises. Like those $2.00 candy bars for school fundraiser scams or the donut and hotdog sales for the new carpet in the church scam. See the mob and domestic terrorist groups are networking and recruiting. It would be so nice if I had the time on my duty shift to handle high profile national security cases like these officer, but I get stuck doing the low level burglaries, rapes and bar shootings. I have hope one day I will find my Taliban lemonaid stand then I will be a true hero to all.

 

Agents of the machine probably wouldn't touch a stand if it were occupied by people of Arabic origins. Lawsuits equal paperwork and it's just not worth the hassle.

Well the jack booted thugs have done the same thing here in Iowa, shut down a road side lemonade stand run by a 11 year old and a 12 year old. No proper permits of course.

Of course crack heads can freely attack any one they want. One crack head, named Keith Elson, had over 600 arrests here in Johnson Co., IA alone, for assault, assault and battery, arsen, etc., but beause he was a police informer, he never spend a day in jail, while his victims were often enprisoned for defending themselves. He finally kidnapped a girl out of a Cedar Rapids, IA convience store at knife point (all on tape) and raped her, but the trial has been put off so many times it may never get to trial before the 16 year old girl dies of old age. Too bad he didn't need a permit as then he would be doing hard time.

 

Sales tax is collected by the state Please stop giving the Feds ideas
