Early Fall in Connecticut

fall is creeping up on us
the leaves are turning red
the vegetables are all sleep
tucked safely in their beds
the wood is piled up to the roof
the windows double paned
winter time will soon be here
with time for indoor gaames
the days have gotten cooler
the nights are really crisp
smokes comin from the chimneys
in curly whirly wisps
time to pack the blankets
and break out the winter quilts
packed awy until the spring
are bicycles and stilts
soon will come thanksgiving
a feast fit for a king
i couldnt live without the fall
id miss too many things
