    ZOMG!

It's like I don't know you any more.

Voting for the lesser of 2 evils is still evil.

Death by firing squad or Death by hanging. Still Dead.

Have your day in court. Be heard. Make a stand.

I hear you say that your country is being taken over by the 2 party (chimera) system and something has to change. But you will still vote for the one you dislike the least.

Take a stand. Vote with your heart and mind. Sure the 3rd party candidates may not win year after year but their percentages become larger every year that someone does not fall into the 'I don't want to waste my vote. I want to vote for the winner'

By falling into that trap, you lose. Your vote was wasted by saying. 'I'll go with whom ever the political pundits and main stream media say will win in this two pony race'

I will vote 3rd party candidates full ballot. With one caveat, If Ron Paul get the Republican Nomination, that will be the only republican vote I cast. I will enlighten others in my network of associates, friends and family that voting for the lesser of two evils is to no difference at all as it is just Same Beast of burden, Different day.

I will make a difference because my vote will be counted. It will have been for whom I truly believe would make a difference and has earned my respect to represent me.

Remember, we vote on who we want to represent us. Please don't just vote to have been remembered as voting for the tyrant. I think they use to be called collaborators, sympathizers or loyalists a long time ago. The rest were called Americans.

Sure you can vote for who you want Im just saying a vote for Ron Paul is a vote for Barrack Obama............ just saying

Well we have beat that horse to death. Larry, I congratulate and salute you for doing what you do for your particular political beliefs.
    .
Beyond that on the support, however you want to define it of the two party system, we will have to disagree.
    .
A vote for any candidate other than Lord Obummer, is not a vote for Obama. Those are fighting words! Call it a wasted vote if that makes you feel good. That is what I consider any vote for the corrupt two party system.
    .
With that I am through beating this dead horse.

Everyone is talking about the 2 party system, but the truth is it has been a one party system for a long time, the media/politico party, being a politican is a lifelong job, with every move you make done in the intrest of helping advance your career, not what is best for "we the pepole" and until we vote them all out and show that we will not stand for the "same old, same old" it will continue to be this way. Vote dem, repub, green, whatever party you want, the key is to not re elect the incumbents, whether good or bad. Once they realize they are going to be one term and only one term, maybe then the votes will be for what is right and not what will help me be a lifelong politican.

Politicans are like underware, their all dirty and need to be changed often!

JMHO you should understand, but Ron Paul has a proven record of supporting most of the things that most of us here believe in.
    .
There is no perfect candidate out there anywhere. Never has been never will be. If you find one, look closer. You can be sure that in some way they are concealing the truth.

270 electorial college votes are required to win

BTW, I have a serious question for all the Constitutional scholars, those who don't vote because they feel it is a waste of time, those who will not "throw away their vote, but instead always vote for the lesser of two evils", .......
    .
It requires 270 electorial college votes to win the Presidency, ........
    .
What if in voting your actual #1 choice instead of voting for the lesser of two evils, no one wins a clear 270 electorial college votes?
    .
Would that not in itself send a very loud and clear message?

And a vote for any of the others might as well be a vote for Obama...because there is really not enough difference to matter.

Vote for big government and the continued loss of liberty or vote for Dr. Paul...those are the choices.

well, i think i will get my swings in on this horse....

lets see, the way i see it, there are no good choices. There is Obama, them whichever political windsock the republicans manage to put forth......hmmm not looking too good. I look back to the last election and what did we have? Hilary, Obama on one side and Mccain and others i cant remember on the other.
i think every one (dems especially) were shocked when Obumer won the nomination. then Mccain selected Palin as his running mate, pretty much killing any chance he had to be elected. and we got stuck with the kenyan.....
fast forward a few years and here we are pretty much in the same boat again.
i really dont see a difference between the republicans and the democrats....they all want the same thing in the end...money and power. Our money and thier power to be more exact.
Who do we have to choose from on the republican side?
Newt? Flip flops more than my wifes shoes....
Romney? Obama lite....(pun may or may not be intended)
Bachman(SP?) dont know...tea or not to tea....
    Perry? also a windsock....
Paul?..i like him the most out of all of them, but i doubt he will win the nomination.
where am i going with all this? well....as i see it, it wont matter who gets elected, nothing will change before its too late (it already is) If obumer gets beat and a republocrat gets in there, there will be a lot of noise but nothing will change.
If miracles go happen and Paul not only wins the nomination but the actual election?...the house and senate will do everything they can to styme him. Nothing changes....
Where does that leave us? Honestly i think we will be using that 4th box before too long. i think its only a matter of time. this country is not circling the drain....were are midway through the pipe headed for the septic tank....
Yes im a pessamist. i hope i am wrong and things turn around...but i dont see it...

give me a few minutes to zip up the flame suit and crack a beer.....

Not really anything I can find there to flame.

I gave up on the so-called 2 parties quite a while back...and really saw very little reason to vote for offices any "bigger" than Congresscritters, and then only for the rare candidate that showed potential for honesty. I concentrated entirely on county offices and state reps.

Then some time in early '07 I ran across Dr Paul and found myself getting enthused...he was the first person taking on national politics in years that I could actually see myself voting for with a clear conscience.

The Republican nominee will either be "Newt Romney" or Ron Paul and I currently see the relative chances at about 90-10 for the bad guys...but I'm an optimist.

If Dr Paul wins the nomination, I really believe he will win the election...there are enough folks outside the Republican Party that would potentially vote for him that would not even consider any of the other candidates. Heck...my wife and her friends voted for Obama last time around and half of them are changing parties to vote for Dr Paul in the R primary here...and we are still working on some of the others. The people who actually believed the "Change you can believe in" line from Obama are disillusioned and still looking for the guy who really will change the way things are done in DC...and Dr Paul has more years espousing the same views and backing them up with his actions than Obama has out of short pants.

If Dr Paul doesn't win the nomination, I will be one of the guys begging him to make an independent run. The primary campaign is giving him the national audience and I think he can pull a substantial number of votes that would go to Obama in an Obama/"Newt Romney" contest...and a lot (like myself) who would just sit that one out.

I think if there is an issue bigger than "Change" right now, it would have to be Honesty/Integrity. If 30+ years of consistency, and being proven correct by time, isn't a major electability advantage, then the country is too far gone for any of it to make a difference. Add in the fact that, throughout that 30 years, he has returned part of his office budget to the treasury, he refuses to take a congressional pension because he feels they are wrong and he will take a salary equal to the mean US worker if elected president and you have some serious credibility advantage.

All that said...if he doesn't get the nomination, and he doesn't agree to make an Indie run, I'll cast my vote for county sheriff, commissioners, state rep, Congresscritter and the local tax issues and keep on making sure my family is as prepared for the fall as they can be.

Well, if Ron Paul does win, and the congress critters dont work with him, we still can scream loud and clear to all of our representatives and senators that they had better start doing "OUR" bidding. Or they had better just get their bags packed and head off to the EU because if they come back home they ain't making it back to DC because we will __________________ (fill in the blank :: I prefer bringing back the stockade and public rotted fruit throwing).

Seriously, if we elect Paul by a landslide and congress don't play nice. We can have a 300 Million person march into DC put the 535 on a plane with a few gitmo folks (Sorry no TSA screening for this flight) and send them to say, Syria.

And have new elections in a couple of months. Until then we could have our governors appoint temporary replacements.

Now I'm going to get some marshmallows to toast by the fire about to decend on me and Limping Bear.
