Thanks for posting that I have been really confused on my vote this go around some of the things Ive heard out about Ron Paul that have been way out. I had posted a little of my concerns on another post and Ive started doing some research and I think alot that I have heard has been taken out of context and released. For the most part he kind of seems down to earth and a common man like us.

I haven't done much research on Ron Paul, but I just think of 2 things...A: a friend of mine who is big on the Constitution supports Ron Paul, and B: if the MSM and the politicians wanna make him out to be 'crazy', he must be pretty sane/normal.

What Ron Paul fails to realise is The President hasn't got nearly the powers to 'change' things as he seems to believe. Add to that the fact the GOP and Dems both hate him - a Ron Paul presidency would be characterised by four years of stagnant inability to get anything constructive accomplished.
The "President" is a puppet of the Banksters and Big Business. He would, right after election, be taken to the Star Chamber and given the 'script' he will follow the rest of his term.
The last President to try deviating from that script was JFK....... How'd that turn out again.....?

Arguably the last real President was John Fitzgerald Kennedy.

i totally agree with seawolf1090..im sure Dr Paul realizes the chance he will be taking when he is elected president. It would be sad to lose such a fne person. I just hope he is guarded better than Ft Knox because we all know, the crooks in washington have stolen all the gold that WAS stored there

Loosing Dr. Paul in a Kennedy type event would light the short fuse. They do not want to pull the pin on that grenade.

I sometimes wonder if John Kennedy would have been so revered had he not been assassinated. When you examine his presidency, you see a man who practiced blatant nepotism, expanded our presence and financial support around the world, especially in 3rd world countries that continues to this day, involved the US in Cuban arena with the Bay of Pigs invasion, brought us to the edge of nuclear war with his baiting of the Russians, involved the US in the Berlin crisis when the wall was built going so far as his famous declaration Ich Bin Ein Berliner - I am a citizen of Berlin, increased our involvement in Vietnam and supported massive troop build up. Domestically, he expanded the welfare rolls while making people believe it was the responsibility of the working class to support the non-working class. Personally, he was an unfaithful husband, a man who seemed to believe that his life of privilege entitled him to what ever he wanted, consorted with criminals and Hollywood equally...the list goes on and on. I don't believe he was an evil man, just a flawed one and one who would fail the litmus test for greatness has he lived to fulfill 8 years as president.

"I am a dinner (or maybe breakfast, I forget) roll" is the colloquial translation. Listening to the speech, you can hear laughter from the crowd. They understood what he meant, tho', and appreciated it.

That translated correctly to "I am a Berliner" .

In all of Germany, "Berliner" primarily means a "person from or citizen of Berlin". In some areas, "Berliner" may also mean doughnut; however, this is not the case in or around Berlin.

The kernel of truth is, had Kennedy said "Ich bin Berliner", the interpretation as "I am a doughnut" would have been impossible. As he said "Ich bin ein Berliner", it was not quite impossible, but extremely unlikely.
