That is a nice lookig truck I wish I could find something like that around here. Did you put the power stering and breaks on it yourself?

Got working AC? Black gets mighty hot in the sun. That's my favorite body style of Chevy/GMC.

No AC, I did find a AC cab and all the goodies, but it will spend most of its time on the mountain at 5000 or higher, not to bad at that altitude for summer temps.

Oh I didn't think the power breaks and stering came in til mid to late 70's. I learned something new. I like the older vehicle's they are easier for me to work on the new ones are a pain just to chang plugs. Im talking to a guy now about one of the K5 full size blazer's needs some trans work if I can get him to come down a little on price. If you have time post a few pic's as you go that is a nice and tough vehicle.

I want a late 70's or 80's step side. Saw the one pictured below at the local tug-a-truck competitions and fell in love.

502 big block if memory serves me right.

The reason is that step side is not a "customer preferred" style. How I dislike the factory telling me what I prefer.

My 6 inch front springs arrived yesterday. Should have the ORD rear shackle flip and 2" add leaf for the rear next week. Followed by the new braided brake lines and drop steering arm. Then off to buy Tires and wheels.[drooling]

Nice truck, hard to find those here in the valley w/o much cancer and when you do they are not cheap. [drooling]

Need any help spending your money to make it bullet proof.

Have you considered upgrading those axles to a GM Corporate 14 bolt in the rear and a Dana 60 in the front or are you going to keep most of it stock?

You know that boner some guys get looking at the latest and greatest Glock, 1911's, or a classic H&K? Well I get that same thing going on when it comes to GM trucks.

With newer cars so hard to work on, there are going to be fewer and fewer from the new generations. Ever tried to take a peek at a Porsche Boxster's engine? Raise roof half way, remove purty trim panel, unlatch fire proof heat shield and after all that work this is all you get to rub one out to...

    engineexposed.

WTF Porsche, that's like substituting the strip club with a nunnery. [loco]
All that work to check out my sisters car and I get left with blue balls.
