I was pretty good with this law until I hit section (c). That definition of a restricted area is pretty loose, and is certainly open to abuse.

    H. R. 347—2
    ‘‘(c) In this section—
‘‘(1) the term ‘restricted buildings or grounds’ means any
posted, cordoned off, or otherwise restricted area—
‘‘(A) of the White House or its grounds, or the Vice
    President’s official residence or its grounds;
‘‘(B) of a building or grounds where the President or
other person protected by the Secret Service is or will
    be temporarily visiting; or
‘‘(C) of a building or grounds so restricted in conjunction
with an event designated as a special event of national
    significance

A ten year prison sentence seems a bit stiff for standing in a place that some suit declares to be "restricted."

A more germaine question is, how long do we LET them go dismantling our Constitution, our very way of life, before we stand on our hind legs like men and drag the barstids out to the stout trees? In 1776, we went to war for far les than this and the last few administrations have done to us! We see our 'leaders' committing High Treason daily and sit on our thumbs.

I thought the original bill said 10 years if you had a weapon (licensed or otherwise)

In 1776 we went to war within walking distance; participants of the shootout at Lexington and Concord walked or maybe a few rode horses, and then harrassed the Brits all the way back to Boston ( Samuel Whittemore is my hero; if he could kick ass at 80, I've still got a little more mileage left in me!).

Now, the country is so big, we can mostly just tear out our hair from afar... the Tea Party descent on DC two years ago by people from as far away as California was totally disdained and ignored by the regime and its news media.

There'll have to be a spark, an intolerable incident (as if most of them so far are tolerable) somewhere, which will spontaneously ignite patriots all over this huge land. But so far, the criminals in DC are insulated by distance.

Acts of individual rebellion are criminal, unless the overall rebellion succeeds... then, we're heroes. The Founding Fathers conquered their fear of disgrace and execution, and signed the Declaration... think they weren't scared spitless ? But they did it anyway.

Courage is not lack of fear; it is being afraid, and doing the right thing anyway.

Well Said, I truely belive we are almost to that point, and it will most likely happen by accident, but it will happen soon, read Unintended Consequences by John Ross, chillingly accurate look of our future

The Plebes are kept docile by plenty of "Bread & Circusses" - as long as Bubba can sit in his Lazyboy, drinking his beer and watching NASCAR or "Girls Gone Wild", and as long as Missy can watch "American Idol" and "Jersey Shore" with Starbucks in hand - all is well! [applaud]
