All I could think of was "chicken fillets"...."chicken fillets"..."chicken fillets" and..... "billiard table felt shouldn't be put to that abuse" (when she was standing on it in her stilletos)

    Good billiard skills though.

It's the kind of miss-spent youth I never had the chance to enjoy! ; )

At one time in my pathetic life I could probably make money on a billards table.... But getting a babe to lay down on a pool table can be quite expensive........
    You asked

Has anyone here seen the movie "the last detail". If you haven't just follow along. I used to shoot pool alot. For drinks and cash, and seldom got drunk on my dime, and almost always left with more money in my pockets than I started with. Bottom line, I got to shooting pool for money with a gal like the one on the pool table. I had to not concentrate on how hot she was to shoot decent pool. It was hard ............... to do. The money went back and forth and then I started on a winning run. After several double or nothings I had her down by $200. Big money for me at the time. She admitted she had hung in too long and that I was the better player. She offerred up herself if I would play her just one more game double or nothing. Did I mention she was young and model beautiful. After the bet was made, she cleaned my clock shooting almost like this young guy in the video. She did give me an excellent departure kiss as she laughed and said "you just got screwed sailor, I hope you enjoyed it".

Yup, end of the night, out $400 ($200 hers and $200 mine), and going home alone ........ damn.

Post script; I learned from that most excellent hustle. Never got hustled again. Almost a few times, but I have a fine memory, and I don't mind walking away when I am up.

Many years later I had a very similiar run of pool with a guy I had never seen before. He was down $100 and we were shooting double or nothing. He was up on this game. I had 3 balls and the 8 ball, and he only had to pocket the 8 ball. I shot safe and snookered him leaving him no shot what so ever. Or so I thought. He smiled and asked if I wanted to double the stakes. I wasn't sure I could run it out even with ball in hand if he failed to even touch the 8. I was going to break even if he won the game and lose none of my own money. I declined the double bet. He tried insulting me and I only laughed at him. He tried again to get me to take the double, saying he only needed one shot or the double was off. He said he could pocket the 8 ball from where the cue ball lay trapped with one shot. I declined. He was just too damn sure of himself. He wasn't exactly happy at this point. He pointed to a broom in the corner of the room, and said, double the bet for one shot and I will do it with that broom. I told him no, but said, if you want to take the next shot at the 8 ball with that broom and call off the bet completely for this game, I will pay you $50 if you make the 8. He shook his head, and said, no way, the bet stands at $100. He then took the broom stick anyway, jumped my blocking balls and sank the 8 in the side as a bank shot. He broke even, as did I. It was a wasted night for us both, but I didn't get screwed, so I thanked him for the lesson, and bought him a drink before I left.

I got to the end of the 9th line and the beginning of the 10th line of your anecdote (in your original post) and I had to go find my reading glasses just to make sure I was reading it correctly....I hate long sightedness! : O
