This wildly imaginative fable ties in well with the Black Creation Myth Of The Coming To America...... [applaud]

    *sigh*

I really hate the race card. I have never met a more racist person than a bitter black person. They call white people racist, yet they stereotype all whites as racists and supremacists. They demand that current generations of whites apologize for what previous generations of whites did to their ancestors. They form all black schools and groups but condemn all white schools and groups. I'd go as far to say that the person who wrote this was/is racist and wants to blind others with the outright blatant lie that The Constitution is a racist form of law that should be abolished.

I'm not racist. I believe every person bleeds the same as me. Whites are no better than or smarter than any other race. Every race has it's smart people and it's dumb people, it's trashy people and it's classy people. An individual of one race is just as capable as an individual of another. God loves each of us the same and offers every person, regardless of race, the same saving grace as any other. It just irks me to no end that blacks still demand more "equal" rights, yet my ancestors were once slaves of the English. You don't see me knocking down the Queen of England's door demanding an apology, payment, and "equal" rights for what her ancestors did to mine!

Mythology is not the exclusive province of one side...or the other. Where there are conflicting claims, evaluating the weight and worth of the evidence adduced supporting the rival claimants is what matters in adjudicating an issue. Bald assertions, and bold claims without strong supporting evidence represents no more than opinion, whomever the proponent.

The whole article in it's entirety, defines BS better than anything I have read recently. I am so tired of the race card being played and waved as an excuse; I wish these people would just over it.

Rightly or wrongly, fairly or unfairly, the race card will be played by both sides....it's not just a matter of getting over it (Though one can but wish and hope that both sides would) but the reality is, both sides, to suit their own partisan purposes will continue to play it.....so what it comes down to, is not so much as getting over it, by the card player, but the dealing with the card, when played, as it inevetably will be.

you will always see more black basketball players than white and more white swimmers than black and yes, there are exceptions but the status quo is so overwhelming as to be impossible to deny. I don't complain when a black person touts their genetically larger penis or higher butt but I still have to pretend that the grade curve doesn't exist in public education? And somehow this is my fault for being white?

I been sayin the civil war wasn't about slavery, since in HS.. to the aghast of my history teacher, asking me what it was "really" about.. My answer was economics..

Race, will always be a "factor" to the masses, because that's what the elites want us to focus on.. to keep us divided.. And they have, engineered this division from day 1 in america, when they declared "minorities" equal..

Whether it be a racial minority or sexual minority or religious minority or what have you.

At its core, its not a race issue, but an elitist issue that has been engineered to divide, the subjects.. So that we will never unite, against the true threat to our freedom.

just my observations over the years..

Although, I do agree, there are bigots and racists on all sides, that is not questionable at all..

My own personal experience has been that those who scream loudest about a perceived prejudice are generally the worst offenders of same. [dunno]

I have actually seen one black person report another for 'racial prejudice'....... [loco]

    If thine eye offends thee.......

I understand what you are saying, but unfortunately so few people follow the injunction "If thine eye offends thee, pluck it out"...they would rather keep an eye that is easily offended, than removing the offence from their perception.

What is so extraordinary about a person of one racial group reporting someone of the same racial group for racial prejudice??......racial prejudice ....indeed many prejudices have their basis in power relationships between dominant and minority groups...even within a group considered to be a minority within a larger general population. Skin colour, even among blacks can be a basis for prejudice, whether a person is descended from someone who came as a slave...or as a free man or woman...can be an issue of racial contention and claims of racial superiority or inferiority. Racial epithets intended to hurt, hurt just as much when the thrown by one's own race, and arguably more so, than those epithets thrown by a race other than one's own.

Note what the student says to the teacher....and what the teacher replies to the student in the following clip.

Once Were Warriors - You think your fist is your weapon? - YouTube

The teacher had every right to be offended....but he (metaphorically) plucked out the offended eye, and turned the negative to a positive by focussing on what is important: Identity (Not pride) the confidence to live one's identity authentically, rather than some kind of grotesque self congratulatory, self promoting BS. That is as good a lesson, and as exemplary an example as any that I can think of for dealing with prejudice.

Nah, this was a case of a no-load slacker getting chewed out by an ex-military guy who was tired of his chit....... slacker got PO'd and went crying to Personnel.....
He ended up getting a glowing Letter of Recommendation and pawned off onto another State agency - they probably still hate us for that......

It would seem that what you are citing is a case of one person working the system to get revenge on another person....that has little to do with racism as such....revenge seeking is a fairly universal human phenomenon...not restricted to one racial group or another. The scenario as described seems less a case of racial prejudice, but more a case of a prejudice against being chewed out for slacking: The colour of the two antagonists evidently being utterly irrelevant.

Again, you totally miss the point, and the rather dark humor, in the situation. Hmmm..... must not translate well to someone who doesn't live with this nonsense everyday.

Not getting it is sometimes not such a bad thing

I've made a conscious decision not to find pejorative racist "humour" funny...no matter how cleverly crafted or delivered. What's to find funny about it? The anecdote that you described is rather a sad one than a funny one if anything.
I'm kind of glad sometimes that I "don't get it"...it saves a lot of yawning.

My younger sister did for quite a while try telling me "funny" racist jokes about aborigines, about asians, and italians and all manner of grossly distorted kind of racial stereotypes. I think she kind of follows closer in my Dad's bigoted footsteps than I do, and was rather crestfallen...good born again christian that she is...that I didn't share her sense of humour, or see the "humour" in her jokes. The punch line of her jokes were usually racially based sterotypical put downs, that merely reinforced her own sense of racial superiority as the joke teller at the expense of the subject of the joke.

That is not to say that I do not enjoy a good jewish joke....or a good aboriginal joke etc....when told by a jew or an aboriginal themselves of their own idyosyncracies within their own cultural context.

The film clip is from an Australian film "Ten Canoes" and it has some very funny scenes, demonstrating the universality of human behaviour, and human concerns.

Apparently, nothing, from the perspective of one born and raised 12,000 miles away from the simmering, pressurized cauldron that is African-American, Liberation Theology socially-rent modern America, especially since the present regime has blatantly encouraged the remembrance of injustices from 200 years ago by its voting base to enhance its chances in the next election.

Caring and intelligent Americans whose skin happens to be black... Thomas Sowell, Larry Elder, et al... cringe at what the race pimps, from Obama on down to the Shabazz person who openly advocates killing "cracker babies," have done to devolve culture ( not race ) relations in America.

If there is ever a Krystallnacht in America, it won't be Caucasians who implemented it.

Having been on the receiving end of racial hatred...

Having been on the receiving end of racial hatred...and bigotry...and, to my shame, having discriminated against others on the basis of ethnicity...I can speak with some experience from both sides of the divide.

Your polemic sounds like a football team whining and complaining about the opposition team for what essentially is an own goal.

Did African Americans asked to become a commodity to be bought, enslaved, and used as a cheap means of producing wealth for mostly white plantation owners?? Were they happy being maltreated, marginalised, casually executed or beaten up and humiliated for no better reason than that they were perceived to be acting a little "uppity" or daring to marry or having relationships with men or women outside of their "colour". Did they enjoy being segregated from the wider society by laws legislated by white folk, designed to keep African Americans in their place...at the back of the bus...both literally, and metaphorically. Were all white folk culpable at the time that such things were done at that time? Undoubtedly not. Should "white" folk of today bear responsibility for the things done in the past, and assume blood guilt for the sins of the Fathers (and mothers)...undoubtedly not. However, it is prudent to at least acknowledge past injustices and not revise history, claiming that it didn't happen, or pretend that it wasn't as bad as claimed. It is also prudent to try and mend the deep racial divisions within one's nation. How that may be achieved I am in no position to give gratuitous advice, other than it will unlikely be achieved by wielding the hammer of Charles Martel....or an espada.

We in Australia have our own problems and challenges in coming to terms and dealing with our history (past and present) of race relations abuses and injustices. The debate about this frought and sensitive issue is contentious, complicated and just damnably difficult, yet most folk of good will, both black and white, try to fix up the f**k ups of the past...and the present, and try to move forward with a common purpose and mutually supportable goals and aspirations.

Early Australian colonial society...had it's involvement in slavery known then and now as "black-birding"...it's a practice that is met with almost universal disgust by people who are aware of that shamefull part of Australia's history. Australians at various times and places have shamelessly indulged in exploiting the indigines people for personal profit, exterminating aborigines for no better purpose than sport, or to clear the land, in the way of clearing grazing land of unproductive animals. Australia has seen its share over the generations of actual genocide, and cultural genocide visited upon indigines Australians. It's not as if we don't have the same kind of racial pressure cooker as is the case of the USA, just that we manage it somewhat differently. One thing that I have learned about pressure cookers is...taking the thing off the heat...or taking the heat away from the pressure cooker is a good idea...but bashing the pressure safety valve down harder with a hammer (such as Charles Martel's) is probably not a good idea, if you don't want the thing to explode completely, instead of merely redecorating one's clean white ceiling with the remains of a pressure cooked stew.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kanaka_(Pacific_Island_worker)

I find it rather bizarre that a conservative right wing American would appropriate an historical fascist right wing German staged racially based political event and claiming it as the expectant victim of racially based hate crime in the present time.(note 1) That is such a remarkably head slapping moment...simply astounding! You seem to forget the fact, that to a greater or lesser extent, many (though not all)African Americans over the generations have lived Krystallnacht like moments at various times over much of America's history...not just a few nights. I do not condone racially motivated crimes against caucasian folk, as much asin the same sense that I do not condone racially motivated hate crimes against Aborigines or African Americans, but this assumption of victimhood, seems to me a bit like self righteous self justification for one's own entrenched values regarding the matter.

You have failed to answer this rather simple question....the whole of your reply is a non sequiteur....that wittingly, or unwittingly avoids answering the question. If my rhetorical question was a college term paper topic...your reply would undoubtedly be a resoundingly epic fail.

    .................................................................................................

Note 1. It would be just as bizarre as if the Nazi's on Krystallnacht, appropriated the the Battle of the Little Big Horn as a metaphor for racial hatred by the Jews (casting the Jews in the role of the American Indians) against the "Aryan" race. Perhaps the German people might have avoided the consequences of their ultra right wing policies, if they had been somewhat better to their own citizens (of all ethnicities), and a little bit better in their relationships with their neighbours. Perhaps there is a lesson in that for those who care to consider it

    A) It wasn't a polemic; it was a posit that perhaps an Australian not born and raised in America doesn't know all there is to know about race relations in this country (aside from what various "news sources" peddle) .

    B) The intellectual value of pedantic maundering is not increased by its word count.
