Found a few 1200rnd unopened crates and one open. The open crate is head stamped 311 93 which I believe is lead core, copper washed, and non corrosive but have yet to open the other crates. Anyone have a head stamp chart for the 7.62x39 norinco? Just know I'm not going to be able to leave those crates unopened for too long:rolleyes:

Also anyone know the current value on this stuff?

Don't know about headstamp codes, but back in the day my first Norinco SKS liked the Norinco FMJ ammo pretty well - but the softpoint stuff would hang up when chambering.

A 'few crates', you lucky man you! [applaud]

There is/was a web site for the head stamps on 7.62x39 ammo that is/was very well put together. I will see if I can find again.

Good to know. I recently acquired a norinco mak 90 that I plan on feeding this stuff to. Here is a little ammo porn for you;)

Thanks, I'll be looking as well.

Yep, they are there. I was hoping to find a list with a break down on the ammo itself. Such as core type, corrosive/non, casing, etc...hopefully there is one out therefoosed

That's a nice bit of ammo. Plenty good to keep zombies at bay for a minute.

I'm thinking my SKS is worth about 10 grand. What's that you say? That's enough to buy a barrett. Hadn't thought of that. Lol.

My rifle kicks like a mule, is hard to sight in and eats Wolf. Good as in point and click. Nothing too fancy. I think I'm getting away from using it myself until I grow a recoil pad on my shoulder. Lol.

  12. a SKS has recoil?

I fired about 100 rounds through it, then graduated. I beat my shoulder up in the space of a few hours with no breaks and it taught me a lesson. I'm not a beefy fellow with padding, so yeah it got painful. Shot about 20 rounds through my 30-30, then fired 5 shots through my Mossberg 308 and called it quits for the day. So yeah, I'm a big wuss. Lol.

    Yup. :D

When you shoot until it hurts, the more it hurts the less accurate you become. It is one of the best ways to develop a flinch I am aware of.
