Article: Mystery deer growth pitting hunters against Hawaii - Yahoo! News The Liberals and tree-huggers are coming out of every corner on this one. "Save the mushroom, save the rare and exotic fungus, save the now extinct plant we forgot the name to..." And they hate the fact that the native Hawaiian people can sustain their own families by hunting. There are no food sources on that island (mammals or other game) besides bats. Now that the deer have been introduced mysteriously, it's a huge catastrophe! Morons. The folks there are losing land every minute to conservationists and bloated government. They can't hunt. I am sure fishing is heavily regulated. No doubt it's hard to grow organic foods there. Now, no hunting the deer either. That island is a big death trap.
Deer ARE Field Rats here. They breed , eat everything , inter breed & create HAVOC ! The Haida Gwaii/Queen Charlotte Islands are over run.
Iffn ya can't shoot 12 , back then 1970 , you were to told to never come back till you learn't how to. They are runts , a car that has no deer dents just arrive. I think I had 20 + on my "Roo Guard" . Large power / hydro truck deer guard bumper . Some small towns in BC have Cull's ,, because the folks that think the grocery stores are where food comes from , bitch when someone shoots Bambi... In the Village close to where I ranch , folks leave food out , or try to hand feed them & Raccoon's /bandit cats .. I don't get them , But don't even start to say CULL , your the Devil .. Sloth
If memory serves correctly, State and Federal land ownership amounts to about 90% of all Hawaiian land mass. Long term Leases are possible but Government puts stipulations on usage. Hunting is allowed but very limited due to Government ownership and limits as to where you can hunt. Much of the Islands have very steep nearly non navigable mountains. Much of the illegal awesome Hawiian Grass is grown on government land. Pick your choice of obstacles, hunting there for most all except long long time residents is nearly impossible. jus saying ..... this info was circa 1976-1979
Send in a group of South Louisiana coona$$'s.... Wild pig's,goat's,deer problem solved in 5..4..3.. lol...
Well Gator Today My wife tells me that 2 deer / field rats ate 2 months of growth, and decimated the garden , they had to clear 7 foot fences . She was out at 2 AM this morning with my misplace new Cree flashlight chasing them around. My day was to hopefully to find my light & get the deer out. I had to drop off incorrectly delivered mail to the next door neighbour , drove up there driveway , here I see 10 deer eating on their lawn. The owner said thanks for the mail & she just put the food out & I'm lucky I get to see them !!!! Wow Sloth
Don't you like venison Sloth? A 22 rimfire to the ear will drop them in their tracks. Instead of chasing them out of your garden just drag them out, skin, process, and enjoy fresh free meat. Soon the other deer will get the message and avoid your place.
-06 , yes that will happen , BUT , With City Folk thinking there living rural till the power go's out (cause's us pioneer's hassle) , It will happen !! Need to quieten down the new break down . Gator , well I was just updating. 4 beer and sausage making sure. Sloth

Our's are Black....But since they don't exist down here....Oh Well...!!!! VermilionToday.com - Black panther sighting reported in Nunez area
Gotta love those pictures of imagination, eh? "it's not a panther, it's a leopard or jaguar" (make sure to whine that line) When the cat is chowing down on your favorite dog or child, I don't think someone is going to give a rat's behind about the particular family, genus or species. But back to the OP, why didn't the libtards and tree shaggers raise holy hell when the hogs, goats and deer were introduced? Certainly those incidents did more harm to the environment than the hunters attempting to remove the invasive species...
Nope...Panther's we have... The old people named them year's ago...They have alway's been here... Call your's what you will..I don't go against old folk's...Bad Bad JuJu man..
The conservationists tried the same BS in NC a few decades back when the coastal cougar started making a comeback - "no such critter here." We've got a pair or two a bit southeast of us...but still the idjits say they don't exist....sheesh!
