Lets see I guess you would call that a KING's X and a NO FAULT get out of jail free card. What a deal.
Unfortunately..1) For a person that is "supposedly" a professor of Constitutional law, he appears to be somewhat lacking in his understanding of exactly how "executive privelege" works! 2) The fact that the letter presented to Issa came from deputy director Cole in the DOJ does NOT make it so. It's a farce by any means.... The Oversight committe has been on live feed now for some time and I found it interesting to listen to both side of the dais.... Somebody wants this to all just go away, and quickly...after all it is about an election! If there is substantial evidence that the WH and the PTB that would require such an intervention by the WH, then you know where the problem lies.... I sincerely believe there is a massive cover-up, the likes of which makes "watergate" pale in comparison! It all will eventually come out one way or another ( perhaps a book?) and then the AMERICAN people will see what has been going on behind closed doors for way too long! JMHO
Even if there was really nothing to it - by invoking EP, the administration has now given everyone the idea that they are hiding something. Don't expect much in the way of mass media coverage. Back in the day, the media really was looking for Nixon's head - now the media is very busy covering barry's ass. I'll avoid any comment on the mass medias head placement.. (Edit) Next question. You are right, and I won't disagree with your opinion...but, the republic is lost and the "American People" you mention must be the 3%'rs because everybody else is a cyborg clone zombie. After talking to a Kool-ade drinker for a couple of hours a few days back, and asking questions about things any informed person should know, I really got tired of "I don't know" and "I never heard that". Many questions got the "deer caught in the cars headlights" stare, and no answer at all. ....... So I really have to agree with you about the 97% cyborg zombie clone. .
