The truth is indeed so much stranger than fiction. Sitting here, shaking my head, slowly becoming a vegetarian.
Important items they don't touch upon are 1)what does the virus do when there is no more lysteria, 2)what byproducts does the virus leave in the process of destroying the lysteria, and 3)how stable is the virus, i.e. will it easily mutate? Just another good reason to grow your own.
These are the same people that worry about H1N1 and H5N1 flu virus mutations...with special emphasis on "mutations." What happens when this virus mutates. What the hell ever happened to just leaving $h!t alone? It's worked for a few million years.
I attribute to the inherent arrogance of mankind...the simplistic attitude that man is the smartest thing in Heaven or on earth.
Agree and refine: I see it more as the arrogance of libtard egghead academicians who think they know better than everyone else. I can see a company trying to do this too to make money...then dropping it when the focus-group people won't eat it. But, the .gov will force it on you. Sometimes, you can't make natural things any better...like an areola--I don't even know if it has a purpose and don't know why I like them...but I do.
