sasquatch91 there was no real measurements, just an idea in my head and started building.
total cost was around 200 for dimensional lumber, screws, nails and tarp roof. The rest was just sweat and slivers.

my buddy has some land around a creek, might see if he will let me set up in a stand of trees by the creek.

Visutrac, nice place.I built my cabin out of old tabacco barns that were made out of logs and an old pack house for the floors and planking.Lots of work but well worth the reward!

I'm looking into using some large slabs of flagstone/sandstone...
But I am Not sure how to set them, "mortar mix"?
It's all new to me, wood is easier ( except for those splinters!)

I want something like that but bigger on the back half of my property. Somewhere to go and spend a few hours reading or to warm up after hunting. Even when you live out like we do... sometimes privacy is nice! Lol

It was looking a bit like Stonehenge in the beginning and I thought we might see our favorite Attorney at Law chasing that rooster but I love it. I'm feeling inspired

Since that build, I've built the greenhouse (14x14) shown in the second post, a 12x22 barn that houses bunnies, hay, lawn tractor and tools, and a 10x12 run-in for the horse.

Best part is. Less lawn to mow!

In setting any stones you need to consider your soil conditions, water run off and expected load.

First step is to remove about 6 inches of soil, compact the subsurface, add some type of base material. Base material depends on your area and what you can find but it should be finely screened sand or other such as rock dust. Level the surface, lay in your stones and seal in place with more base material to fill the cracks and hold all in place.

Edge with treated lumber or a like material to keep the stones from washing or walking out of place.
