Same as Ghrit, not impressive to me either. It has a great storyline, but starting 15 years into the future without the struggle about how they got there, seems like a bad oversight. I know the writers are probably going to use that 15 year period as filler, but that's the meat and potatoes for me. I will say that the show Jeremiah was well written and played out great --and it followed the very same outline...but, the cast were different and the whole story was better.

I watched the intro and first 4 episodes, and I might watch some more online just out of boredom. The main characters seem to be dropping like flies though. With Revolution, there are plenty of issues with the writing which fits in with PC thinking and just sucks. There's nothing about HOW the people live and survive, it's all about family ties with the bad guy who hunts them. If the producers had taken the time to elicit maybe three or four professionals in the fields of survival, combat and homesteading it would be better. They could have gained a lot more insight to the reality of the show and made it truly gripping instead of dramatized and hollow. At least they didn't elect to use shaky, unsteady camera work and extreme, constant closeups which seemed to popularize Gallactica and Stargate Universe (which both uber-sucked).

Typical sheeple show. Everyone's clothes are new, they have salon cuts, clean nails....and there's a fat guy. The main character (girl) is a complete whiner...very bossy/self-righteous/entitled.

I think you you have to consider it like the LOST series. It's definitely not as good as the Walking Dead series as far as details go. No steam engines??

I love that series Jericho. The ending sucked something fierce though. Damn writers strike.

Ya, I loved Jericho. Talks about Netflix picking them up for the third season. I read the third season comic but not the same

Yes, Jericho was amazing. The great shows usually get cancelled.

Yeah Jericho was really good. TWD is the best IMO.

Revolution is entertaining but several hokey aspect to it I don't care for.

It was over for me the moment I saw the flat-spinning aircraft plummitting straight down. Oh no, we forgot that aircraft are inherently stable, and can glide quite a distance if need be. It's not like we are flying the old X-29 or something.

The whole notion that NOTHING electrical would work sorta defies all the laws of physics....I mean you rotate an iron core in a magnetic field, and SOMETHING is gonna happen no matter what....so the series starts off in a deep hole, from which it doesn't recover, IMHO.
They might as well suspend gravity while they were at it.

BUT it was over for me when I saw a gang of slave labor dragging an old Huey someplace, like there was any jet fuel left to run it, or every seal in the old dog wouldn't blow even IF they managed to get the fool thing to start.

My slaves would be toiling in the field, hoeing crops, or cutting firewood, or something equally useful......not dragging scrap metal out of the woods.

So far,I like it.It's entertainment, not a how-to course.I wasn't expecting to be taught anything so I wasn't disappointed.I didn't like that they killed off one of my favorite characters..I liked the way her character was developing. It's worth watching a few more episodes..

Yes, but that's the problem. WE may not need education in this area, but most Americans DO. =)
I was talking to some folks at work, and they really don't have the slightest clue. "Why would anybody ever need a ghillie suit?" one asked. I replied with, "To hide from the IRS agents every year, why else?"

I personally would like to see a good show with a eotw scenario and realistic scenes of prepping, coping with no power, etc but I don't hold out much hope for such..

"Jericho" was the closest a TV show got to that as far as I recall. They never picked the show up again after the writer's strike at the end of the second season. "Jeremiah" is another show based on surviving a doomsday event, but in the future 15 years after a virus wiped out all adults over puberty. Lot's of character development, not as much on survival, but still a good watch.
