We have a fairly new range in the Denver area that is presenting itself as a country club where you go to shoot. Anyone have any similar affiliations with such a club elsewhere in the country?
If so, how is that working out, in your opinion?

I'm pretty sure I don't want to belong to any "Country Club" that would let me join.

I'm not familiar with this model but have belonged to several private shooting clubs over the years.

Country Clubs = golfing and yuppie pleasures
Private shooting clubs = Good stuff

You can often times get away with more with a private shooting club, especially when you know the owners/staff. The greatest advantage --privacy.

The Country Club my parents belonged to when I was a child, had a very nice skeet/trap range and we spent many a pleasurable day there busting clay.

I have not yet had the pleasure of visiting an equally nice country club. I envy you those good times.
