And that's in Kommiefornia! You mean they have guns there? WTF is up with that? City Attorney Tells San Bernardino Residents To ‘Lock Their Doors,’ ‘Load Their Guns’ Because Of Police Downsizing « CBS Los Angeles
LOL, Kommiefornia and you might need a gun there. For the last 17 years I have known that we are on our own and don't even think about LEO help if there is a major problem.
But it can only look like a weapon ETA= Sorry about the large pic. it was showing as about a third that size when I saved the post...first line of text was above pic, and eta started at the left of the page...*sigh* I need more coffee!!!
Maybe he is correct and maybe he is playing a "scare card" to avoid downsizing? The chances of a LEO walking up as a crime is being committed are no different as a CCW citizen which is not often. Therefore, usually the police arrive document the crime and/or the victims. Some folks need to wake up and smell the coffee.
My parents who live in Michigan's upper peninsula, were advised by the sheriff of their county to get trained, buy and practice with their firearms about 4 years ago at a senior citizens meeting. he stated "We have a meth problem, If someone is trying to bring harm to you, we will most likely not be there in time. You will have to defend yourself." Plain and simple truth.
More yoopers!! Loved my time up there in Houghton, but man, oh, man, I do NOT miss shoveling the car out of the lot. Met several LEOs in the area, the do not bs the civvies. Tell your folks to pay attention and do it.
My folks will be fine. Extended family has a 'chootin match every summer. Even the great grandchildren take their turn on the firing line.
As very few have one in reach 24/7; IMO, an early warning system of some sort is a real prerequisite. They drink Starbuck's, but it isn't that kind of coffee they need to smell. Unfortunately, no one sees themselves as a victim until after they became one.
During my six year stint living in California I got hit by an illegal while riding a motorcycle. Called 911 and hung up after a little over 20 minutes on hold. I called 411, got the number of a local sheriffs office and called it in that way. Pathetic. Had a neighbor that was an LEO, said there are so many illegals and so many crimes they can't have enough cops to keep up. The budget cuts only make it worse. He had the exact same advice, buy a gun and get trained. Have i mentioned before how little i miss living there? Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
With more police there will be more despotism and abuse brought on by a militarized police. With fewer police there will be an increase in crime because the people have just been living in a police state, they are disarmed and outnumbered by illegal gangs, criminals and everyone else looking to get even or score in some way. But it won't get that far; not as you are told, anyway. Answer me this, and the rest of the pieces fall into place (like always): Who owns the money and decides when to make it rain? There will be no massive downsizing. This is all a scheme to promote an increase in the militarized police state. "Oh, but they can't afford shoes, look at the poor cops!" --Get a clue. Defend yourself. Defend your own. This has been the method of survival since day #0001.
