Thanks, FDR. I really appreciate that. I am certain your banking ties and friendship with Communist dictators only assisted your duties in the task you had to accomplish. I mean, never mind that the Federal Reserve Bank of New York actually drafted the very legislation you tried to shove onto Hoover's shoulders in his final days as Commander in Chief. This is the same legislation, word for word that you ended up using as your declared emergency which stands to this day. And as for NATO, the UN and global banking --we can't get enough, it's great. Thanks for the Emergency War Powers and the largest federal government ever conceived, perpetual debt, Social Security and especially the IRS. Oh, just wanted to remind you that Prescott Bush's progeny has done quite well in his absence, continuing the goal of cementing Fascism and Honoring your favorite scapegoat and hired stooge: Hitler. I am sure that the effects of your existence will forever stain the definition, "Human Being". The lives sacrificed in wars for profit still continues. This one's for you, pal.

    Pretty broad conspiracy, it seems.

Gentlemen, we were honoring those who died and those who served that day and afterward. Please start a new thread to air your theories/grievances and let's not forget what happened on the 7th like so many have already done. Am sure many of us agree with your points of view on FDR/etc. but there is a time and place for everything.

It is a day of remembrance and a time for respect. When describing Iwo, Nimitz said "UNCOMMON VALOR WAS A COMMON VIRTUE." His words apply to so many and they deserve our respect.
An in-law who fought in WWII said as they were just Grunts same as him, he didn't blame the German soldiers for Hitler.

Did you see the show where they found the sub the USS Ward sank? It settled a 60 year old Pearl Harbor mystery.

No Sir do not S-can the story of their bravery and drawing first blood.

    "Sixty-one years later
The story of the USS Ward doesn’t end with her sinking on December 7, 1944. For 61 years, skeptics, including some high-ranking officers in the U.S. Navy, expressed doubts over the Wards claim that it sank a Japanese midget submarine at Pearl Harbor an hour before the attack. There was no corroborating evidence of what they had done. On August 28, 2002, an underwater research vehicle from the Hawaii Undersea Research Lab discovered a midget submarine on the ocean floor 1200 feet below sea level. The sub was found off the mouth of the Pearl Harbor channel near the location of the Ward’s encounter. The sub had a hole in the conning tower exactly where the crew said it was. All doubt was erased. Will Lehner was on that underwater research vehicle in 2002 when the sub was found.
It was amazing,” he said. “For years no one believed us. Now the rest of the world would know.

However, it is a *.gov site... ;) ;)

    -06,
I'm sorry but I cannot find the best one. When the show came on they kind of built up to the Ward did sink it. I remembered reading about it so I searched to show her. Later the show did vindicate the Ward's crew showing what the Undersea research lab's URV found.

The "best one" I found explained how that famous deep sea treasure hunter (the Titanic etc) couldn't find it which put Ward's crew in real doubt. Typically that generation, the man didn't point out "Mr Big Time couldn't find it" as I might have. It was a reminder to me another reason why they are the Greatest Generation. I fought in war so disrespect to the war fighters is a trigger with me.

I apologize as I should have included links in my first post.

I do honor the veterans and those who have died in war. I am also a combat veteran, and that also gives me a right to remind folks such as yourself of the very true danger we face as a nation, even today. If any one of you can honestly validate that what I have said is a lie or in any way NOT directly related to the attack on Pearl Harbor, be my guest. Otherwise, I thank you for your time and consideration. Also, provided I do not infringe upon the COC and remain on topic, there is no justifiable excuse to demand I not post here. If this thread is simply a place to post a brief "thanks" to people who lost their lives, it's self aggrandizing and pointless. If you wanted to discuss IDEAS, as all great minds should, then I challenge any person to walk though that door with me. Otherwise, I politely suggest renting a Pearl Harbor movie, calling friends and family over, and holding a ceremony. Online forums are meant to be places to discuss, not quarter off sections to only permit limited speech and pretend it to be a candlelight vigil.

Do you want to know the real crime? The fact that they got away with it. If you call the United States Code, Title 12, Section 95(b) a "theory", so be it. I know it is reality. If you call the Bank Holiday of March 6, 1933 a "theory", so be it. I know it is a reality. If you believe Senate Report 93-549 is only a "theory", so be it. I know it is a reality. All of these reasons and more were inclusive of the FDR reign, and I will not be silenced when I attempt to warn people that their government LIED to them and continues to lie to them.

Those people who died at Pearl Harbor were heroes, nothing changes that -not now, not ever. They will never be forgotten.

Again I owe you another apology. I haven't used dog pile in years and missed the association. When one cleans up as many dog piles as I do; one gets programmed..... :D

"uncommon valor was a common virtue" with no disrespect to Admiral Nimitz, IMO, his statement pretty much fits the whole war. Pearl Harbor was one battle and it would be impossible to know but a very small percentage of what happened at Pearl. So much has been lost which is sad; our war fighters deserve better.

The OP (@oldawg) specifically stated at the beginning of the thread to leave out the politics. Then, @-06 kindly asked people to start another thread if they wanted to discuss the FDR/conspiracy connection.

The point of the thread WAS to post a brief "thanks" to people who lost their lives that day and then the nation for coming together as one to take care of business.

The thread is pointless?? Who are you do judge a thread's worth? Are you the mod responsible for determining which threads are of sufficient worth to be posted? Shouldn't people be able to decide for themselves in the marketplace of ideas? Aren't you also the one that commonly speaks up about censorship?

Personally, I think it was disrespectful to take another's thread in a different direction in such a way when they specifically requested not to.

If you wanted to discuss ideas, then you should've started a new thread, like -06 suggested.
