    I'm from Alaska and wanted to say hi. Am new to Emergency Preparedness and haven't put much thought into it until this year. So I'm way behind. Looking forward to learning the ropes. This appears to be the best place on the web to get all the info I need. Awesome!

    Talk about opposite areas of operation! Welcome to the Monkey Tree from Florida. There are not many subjects we haven't discussed here. Our search engine helps if you choose the correct key words. If that doesn't get it done just ask on the shoutbox. Someone will direct you. Heck, they are always telling me where to go. .... lol

    Another Alaska Prepper... Until I have gotten more involved with prepping I haven't heard of too many who do. Now all of a sudden I'm finding there are more around than I could have imagined.

    Hey Mindgrinder,
    Well used to work at a mine up 101 mile steese on Goldust Creek back in the 70's. Ran the sluice and have seen in the side box close to 500 ounces. That was some time ago. Never been to Hyder, Alaska so couldn't tell ya. Don't drink anyway
