Actually I'm glad you posted that Mindgrinder. My Uncle could use lots of prayers right now. Last Saturday he was running a marathon in Florida. He finished the race but had a heart attack in the recovery tent. Right now he is in a medically induced coma. He so far has survived the "Widow Maker" but has developed pneumonia. Signs are good other than that part.
@Mechwolf As someone who lost his father to pneumonia in 2007, me and my families thoughts and prayers are with you, and a prayer card will be put in for you this Sunday.
@Mechwolf, i too will pray for you. I expect I'll lose my father, in the not too distant future. (lot of medical issues.) Best of luck.

We got a fella here that's body gave up when his willpower would not and You know we need Your help, grace and healing right here, right now. Mindgrinder, I believe your heart is in the right place. Religious beliefs are somewhat a personal matter. Organized religious groups and their differences, even more so. The Faith and Religion subforum was created to channel those who are devout in their own way to a place where it would not cause dissent accross the entire spectrum of Survival Monkey. Your offer of Prayers for those in need is much appreciated. This subforum is the place for it. Chill.
prayer is always welcome, but submission to authority in some circumstance is biblical too.... cue hornets nest in 3...2...1...
Oddly enough it is also the prescription of the scriptures of the Qur'an and the Tanakh.... who'd of thought?
