Not the law ...yet hopefully this'll get knocked down. Sadly this is in response to poor parenting, drugs (both lawfull & unlawfull), a desensitization to violence and other factors as well. Resist, resist, resist. What's that song about "teach your children..." ?
Agreed, however it is a dystopian nightmare that we should do all we can to avoid. Sadly it may be thrust upon us and far too many see it as inevitable. Perhaps it is, but certainly nothing to be hoped for.
What is just as frightening is that some citizens will not see any problem with this, in fact, may see it as beneficial to their children and families
Other than the fact that this is just plain wrong, here is my problem with this. It says a confidential evaluation, but by law, if the shrink believes that the child is being abused or is in danger they have to report it to authorities. Just recently a guy was charged with child endangerment for holding a child with a gun in his hand. The point being is the liberal definition of child abuse or endangerment is being expanded to the point that it means doing anything a liberal does not like. So if during my child's evaluation they ask my child if he always wears a helmet when riding a bike, or was he ever left alone in a car, the police will be called and I will automatically be guilty of child endangerment, and the guys in black helmets and boots will be coming to my house to take away my kids and guns. If I ever want to see my kids again I will have to sign away all my rights and agree to never own guns, and open my house for "inspection" by some 23 year old with a masters in liberal social work, who will get to decide if I am raising my kids in a way that is consistent with her idea of a healthy and safe home. This is very scary in so many ways, and was used by Stalin and Mao to keep their people in a constant state of fear.
