Doug Ross has several important info updates about the status of the gun industry currently, followed by an inventory update. We traveled to Texas for Industry meetings concerning the shortages, here's what we were told.

Smith & Wesson-is running at Full capacity making 300+ guns/day-mainly M&P pistols. They are unable to produce any more guns to help with the shortages.

RUGER: Plans to increase from 75% to 100% in the next 90 days.

FNH: Moving from 50% production to 75% by Feb 1st and 100% by March 1.
    Remington-Maxed out!
    Armalite: Maxed out.
DPMS: Can't get enough parts to produce any more product.
COLT: Production runs increasing weekly...bottle necked by Bolt carrier's.
LWRC:Making only black guns, running at full capacity...can't get enough gun quality steel to make barrels.
Springfield Armory: Only company who can meet demand but are running 30-45 days behind.
AMMO: Every caliber is now allocated! We are looking at a nation wide shortage of all calibers over the next 9 months. All plants are producing as much ammo as possible with 1 BILLION rounds produced weekly. Most is military followed by law enforcement, and civilians are third in line.
MAGPUL is behind 1 MILLION mags, do not expect any large quantities of magpul anytime soon.
RELOADERS... ALL Remington, Winchester, CCI & Federal primers are going to ammo FIRST. There are no extra's for reloading purposes... it could be 6-9 months before things get caught up. Sorry for the bleak news, but now we know what to expect in the coming months. Stay tuned, we'll keep you posted.

It wasn’t just the AR-15s, the AK-pattern rifles, the M1As, and the FALs that were sold out. It really hit me when I realized that the World War-era M1 Garands, M1 carbines, and Enfield .303s were gone, along with every last shell. Ubiquitous Mosin-Nagants -- of which every gun store always seems to have 10-20 -- were gone. So was their ammo. Only a dust free space marked their passing. I’ve never seen anything like it.

Every weapon of military utility designed within the past 100+ years was gone.
This isn’t a society stocking up on certain guns because they fear they may be banned.

The first rule to surviving a fight is to know you are in a fight. I think gun owners had that realization. The second rule is to make it plain to your attacker you aim to make it very costly to him, win or lose.

I am seeing twice as many people wanting to get their first gun, learn to shoot and even conceal carry than in the 2008 surge.

I had a restaurant manager suddenly ask me about how he could go about getting a gun since he's an immigrant from Japan with full citizenship and didn't know if he was allowed to own one in PA. This is a good man who just wants to protect his family and fight against tyranny if needed.

Yeah, war looms on the horizon for sure.

Bought a complete lower for an AR two days ago. Even an 8 week delay on delivery wasn't a major deterent. This from a guy who has never shot a mattel mouse gun. I just don't like being told what I can't do, or even prospective legislation to do just that. Gun store where I am doing the ffl receipt of the weapon had an informal patient line of 10 or 12 polite people waiting to be served. (the store had just got in a backorder of Pmags) It seemed if each person was picking up 4 to 10 each. This is a great small gun shop in Gainesville Florida. Anyone in the area who wants the name and address PM me.

I do hope this doesn't end up as CW2. It will be very bad even for the winners. What alternative to come may be even worse. Just think of Nazi Germany and Stalinist Russia, not to mention China, Cambodia, Argentina, Venezuela, etc. Death by government is usually far worse than war and we're not talking tin-foil any more.

I don't really see how we can ignore that the liberal government is attempting to rescind our constitutionally affirmed rights. It is a slowly building war initiated by the left and many a RINO is looking for a nook in the establishment. You certainly cannot trust the Democrats and very few Republicans. Just look at the last presidential election and scope out the options offered. More similar than different. Our rights need to be reestablished not canceled. It won't happen on it's own.

The thing that is often not mentioned (if even thought about) is that CW2 will leave a very weakened, fractured, nation behind. Ripe for the picking by some quasi government that can't even think about picking with a united country. That could even be scarier; imagine a current jihadist state jumping on an opportunity. (Then again, it might serve to reunite, dunno.)

Whatever happens, we have to make sure the central bank (Fed) is dismantled or the slavemasters will be at it again as soon as the dust settles.

Remember, our politicians are merely the hands and feet for the central bankers. We need to lop off its head to win back liberty.

Dude! You should totally post more often. Seriously. It's like watching me post, but I can continue to eat food instead of type.

As Mel Gibson said in "The Patriot"--the war will not be fought on some foreign battlefield but in our areas, our town, and in our own homes. None living have ever experienced the devastation(except for those who have battle experience) and sorrows of what war can bring. Am not advocating allowing our constitution to be dismantled. Am saying this---let us exhaust every avenue possible prior to picking up arms. Remember, those targeted may be my children or yours and conversely those of us killed/injured will be loved ones of others. Good men died to give us our constitution and if necessary good men may have to die to preserve it. Thomas Jefferson said it would come to it. Hopefully good men will be able to rise to the task if need be.

06, totally agree we should exhaust all peaceful means to preserve our rights, including obstinate civil disobedience. At the same time we need to project to our foes a steely resolve that we will do all this, and fight tooth and nail if peaceful efforts fail to dissuade them.

While they are all talk and nuance and depend on others to enforce their tyranny, they need to be made boldly aware it will cost them their own blood as well if they ignore peaceful avenues.

Blowhard tyrants usually back down when they realize their target is willing to lose life and limb in order to make them lose fingers and toes, figuratively. They have no tolerance of real pain, they think they will be protected and only others will suffer. We must convey there is no price too great we will not pay to preserve our rights and liberty.

I wrote about a paragraph but deleted it. No man wants peace more than a soldier for he has to pay the price for it.
