Let us take a look at some hard, cold economic facts. The sequestration cuts to the government will be for a total of $83 Billion dollars. $83 Billion dollars is 7.6% of last years total deficit, $1.086 Trillion dollars. That means the sequestration cuts little more than 7.5 cents off of every dollar the government can spend. The US Government spends right at $10.8 Billion dollars a day. This "sequestration" is a joke. It represents roughly 8 days of government spending cut over the remaining 5 months in this fiscal year. The American taxpayer pays an average of 30% of his or her salary in taxes directly to the Federal government. That means that you earn nothing for yourself until 30% of your salary has been taken. You work 12 months of the year, and 30% of that 12 months is? 3.6 Months. So by late April, you actually start earning money for yourself. Politicians need to get over themselves, and American Taxpayers need to get EDUCATED. If Americans truly understood half of what the government was doing to them there would be blood in the streets.
Do not stop with the 30%---we are now working one half of every year just to pay taxes. How does it feel to be a wage slave--that is what we have allowed the gub to do to us.
