Hope this is the right place.

Here are the 16 Republicans who just moments ago voted with Feinstein, Schumer and Reid to advance Obama's gun control bill.

If you are represented by one of these Senators, please get on the phone and let them know what you think.

Toomey is a hummingator, no point in contacting him excepting if you want to contribute large amounts to his PAC.

True, Toomey, McCain, Graham, all lost causes, but the others need their phone lines burned up.

Bob Corker is a RINO through and through!

Yeah, I'll be contacting him, again, and again, and again.

Got so ticked off at seeing Mr. Corker, didn't see Mr. Alexander at the bottom. both are getting reminders they work for the PEOPLE of the state, not their own agenda.

BTW, Mr. Corkers FB page is 99% against him for his for, only one or 2 people have said they approve of it.

Hey I don't think ANY of what we do does any good, not a damn bit. This game plan has been drawn up long before they went public with it, and if anyone believes our opinions mean squat to them they're deluded. We can write and protest and call all we like, but we're either preaching to the rapidly shrinking choir or being ignored. Vote them out? Whatever. They nationalized elections, they'll call the shots on who runs them now.

That doesn't mean I'm going quietly into that good night. I'll happily become one of the reasons their interns dread answering the phones or emails.

Ditch Witch, you are, I doubt that us sending letters, emails, phone calls to these people does anything to sway their vote. They will vote where the money is.

I wouldn't read too much into that vote. It was to allow the bill onto the Senate floor for debate. Not an indication of how they might vote when it comes time to 1) end debate (better place for a filibuster than not allowing debate) and 2) pass/defeat the legislation. But allowing debate, it gets the legislation into the open where it can be more easily killed.

There is the message, contribute money (and time if you can) to the opposition. Writing to the likes of Toomey simply firms up their position. Exception: If, for some reason, they cooked the books to get into office (as is surely possible) AND there is a clear majority supporting the opposition with time and money, they won't make it past the next election cycle. That is the goal as I see it.

Laws can be challenged, and/or repealed, but there has to be some heavy sacks to go that route. (Yeah, sacks. Money or the other things, properly employed.) That is why I think local LEOs refusing to enforce "wrong" (read as unconstitutional) law makes much sense. Failure to enforce "right" laws is inexcusable, regardless of who issues the order to ignore them.

I can't believe the balls of our elected officials. It would only take a few people with nothing left to loose to turn this thing around. Think of the movie God Bless America

Tring to see the bright side.... if it goes to a vote maybe they won't all vote for it and some Dems will vote against it.... if they pass the house will shoot it down.... (well i can dream can't I)

I'm not so sure I trust the House to shoot it down any more.

I agree with Icefoot on this one. I will reserve judgement till I see a proposed bill. This may just be a tactic to say lets see what cards you have before you show your full hand.

I got a call from the RNC, this afternoon, Looking for a Donation.... First thing I asked the Dude, was "So you represent the A$$holes that defected over to the Democrates, and broke the Filibuster, RIGHT?" ..... Silence.... "So, just why would I Support a bunch of Traitors, to the Constituion, with my HARD EARNED Cash?" ..... Again, Silence..... "Both my Senators voted to sustain the Filibuster, and one of them is a Da***d Democrat. You Jerks need to get your act together, or because, and until, you do your not getting anothe RED CENT, from me." ..... Silence, Click..... I felt a bit better after that... ....YMMV.....

I heard Graham on the Hannity show. He thinks they are being quite clever. His group wants it to come to a vote, confident it will force some Dems to vote against it and thus be a glorious defeat of the Dems. And as backup the senators feel they can play games with the idea the House will kill it anyway.

The problem is we should not be taking any chances with something this important. There were enough senators ready to filibuster that they could have killed it dead right now and be done with it.

Now it us kept alive thanks to the likes of these too clever RINOs, and ever day is a chance for the WH and Dems to convince one more Repub to vote their way.

You don't negotiate with tyrants and liars. You put them down as quickly and permanently as possible.

How is it a state such as AZ elects a whacko bird as McCain? He drools at the thought if voting with the Dems and a chance to criticize fellow Repubs. In a red state like AZ hiw does this RINO turd keep getting re-elected. Same with Graham in SC?

Phoenix and Tucson elect him. Not enough population density in the rest of the state to overcome the cities.

From another NC resident, please pass on (in strong but polite terms) to Mr. Burr (and Hagan if you can get her ear) the need to kill this legislation in the Senate and not let it get to the House.
