http://www.survivalmonkey.com/attachments/img_20130331_165225_837-jpg.11899/ The last one we did was a couple of racks of ribs- hail came down about 30 minutes before we started. Making me hungary......
I can't have open fires here. they keep sending the fire department, and I refuse to feed them too. They even used their fire hose on my kid's cookout once. but i make burgers the neighbors rave about.
@kckndrgn, What does standing the chicken up on a can accomplish? I've seen it a lot, but never tried it, as I just see it as a round, standing rack. I'm guessing it keeps the inside tender, stopping airflow from the inside of the breast, but not sure of what else it does. Do tell!
nono no its called a drunken chicken... the can is filled with beer and as it heats up it evaporates and creats steam.. keeping the chiken jucy and flavorfull.
Bout the best bbq site I've run across is Meathead's amazingribs dot com. He's got all kinds of research on the art of bbq'ing, reviews of cookers and lots of really tasty recipes. If ya head over there, tell him Kajun sent ya. Kajun
What @KAS said. I've used different beers, ales, sodas, ciders, etc. All will impart some flavor and keep the chicken nice and moist.
mountainman> can u please tell us about ur pit .. make model were u got it ... never seen one like it thanks
Not a high end model. Bought it because I can cook 4 flats of thighs on it and it does a great job. Might get some heat because of where I bought it. Char-Broil 30" Charcoal Grill - Walmart.com
